Thanks for the kind words, guys.

Regarding brushing the chrome, it can be done with a scotch brite pad. Here is an example.

Re: --- New Ride, New Wheels ---

^Thanks!

Yes, they removed both bumpers and the rockers. I emailed a lot of body shops and had quotes up to $3,500, LOL. I ended up finding a place that did all of the paint work for $700 which...

--- New Ride, New Wheels ---

Hello folks,

I purchased a 2014 Summit a couple of weeks ago. Since purchasing, I have had the lower body work (that came grey from the factory) and mirror caps color matched. The front windows...

I have a white summit with color matched lowers and mirror caps. I'm getting my 20x10 gloss black spider monkeys installed next weekend and will post pics. (waiting on the black gorilla lug nuts)

Re: 2014 replacing bulbs with LED's interior , replace headlamp/fog

I didn't take any, but I would recommend covering the entire half of the light assembly (the area where the map light is) so that it looks uniform thru the lens. I'm getting my new wheels put on...

Re: 2014 replacing bulbs with LED's interior , replace headlamp/fog

I pulled off the cover and covered the light with electrical tape. No light goes thru and I left the light on for quite some time to check the temperature. It appears to be fine, as LEDs do not...

Re: 2014 replacing bulbs with LED's interior , replace headlamp/fog

Thinking out loud, but what about covering the led with something? This would effectively do the same thing and be reversible. Any thoughts about applying electrical tape over the led?

Re: 2014 replacing bulbs with LED's interior , replace headlamp/fog

So, I read the whole thread (very helpful), but have a question that hasn't been addressed. I did the whole interior swap, and of course, the egg yolk map lights are ruining the effect. Is it...

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

This is probably the new brown interior color. This was on a luxury series at the LA Auto Show last year. Note that they never offered this color on the luxury series or any other 300.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

^300's work that way so the Jeep will probably follow suit.

As for wood, look at the 300 luxury series for a reference. My bet is that they are the same.

Re: NEW 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee spy pics(thanks 12sleeper!)

I actually really like it. I am not a fan in any way of the cheap plastic rockers and lower trim on the current model..........to me, it screams unfinished.

If you want to get an idea of nav controls/additional physical climate control knobs, look at the new 300.

Re: FUTURE 2 door Grand Cherokee SRT8??????

I agree about the Evoque, but I love the Evoque. I would definitely get one of these as it is more aggressive. Honestly, give me the twin turbo v6. I'll turn up the boost and be a happy camper.

Re: Special Edition Jeep SRT8?

One can venture and say it is running the mopar lowering springs, those are one-off 22's (unfortunately) and the motor is mainly stock. I could see it having intake/exhaust, and possibly it is tuned.

Re: drop springs......

You've seen them......the Jeeps they gave Alonso and Massa (Ferrari drivers) were lowered. Since srt did them up, it wouldn't be extending far to assume they used these springs.
