Yea your mate stays with mercedes only ,but put me onto North Star motors a small show at Enoggera. Steve had done one the week before (swirl motor) real bastards to do.Also a 2nd Hand front diff....

Hey any Queensland Jeep people, my Wh is going to need some series work swirl motor replaced ,rerace both diffs and maybe Tranny.Any thoughts who maybe able to help,
of course i could just bush it...

Yes the whole tail shaft has to be replaced, the yokes are a crimped type.

Marlin another for the books ,Just done the rear uni,have to replace the entire rear drive shaft or do you know anyone that will cut a replace .

Hey guys can anyone help with this .Engine warning light came on and there is no throthle when you put your foot down, it will still cruise 100k but no acceleration .First code was read as variable...

Cheak the front cv off the tranfer case,could be starting to go,I had the problem at 112000 km .

I am running the 3.0diesel here in Oz fuel prices are about the same now 9.4l/100 is common on a150,000 km motor.I will do my own services from now on.

I pulled out the front drive shaft and sure enough the CV on the tranny side is shot,it has VW 3030-0801 stamped on it ,the other end is a spicer CV.
Why two different types???

My WK 05 3.0 l has just gone over 150,000 km on some rough Aussie surfaces, I not sure they are built for another 150,000.
Aussie cars are built tough to do it tought just don't make 4 wheel drives.

Comes as one complete part from Jeep, most auto shops a closed at the moment will have to wait till new year

100 is a fine figure I can just about get a return fare to USA for the price of a orginal one.
The Junction where the shaft on the tranfer case end looks like it goes into a CV type joint is...

Front diff needed to be reraced at 100,000km, and now front drive shaft has gone at 150,000.......all mostly open road work 30% on graval roads, any thoughts re replacement drive shaft ???

I had a good look all oils a fine ,front drive shaft is flogged out,any suggestions on a replacement I think they are 900 Aussie for a new one.

I have a problem child WH that had the front diff bearings replaced at 100,000km and as of Christmas day ( we travelling nearly1000 km that day) there is a grinding noise coming from Tranmission area...
