Re: '14 - UConnect Access Trial Expiration and Renewal Cost

To me the fundamental flaw is that people who can afford a monthly fee (or a GC for that matter) tend to have more than one car and want infotainment to follow the person and not be tied to a car.

Re: 2012 JGC & Towing

With the 4x4 the factory towing package included a number of things such as load levelling shocks. The 4x2 just got the receiver and wiring harness (but not a brake controller). It does include...

Re: RWD vs 4X4

Had my 2WD with towing package for about 2.5 years now & often pull a 3500 lb trailer. No problem.

Must admit I've had a lot of tow cars but never a 4x4. It works for me.

Re: Left engine running the entire day :(

I have noticed that I must be very careful to make sure mine is fully in park after several times pushing the button, getting out, locking and then realizing it was still running. Wonder if any have...

Re: Hard driver's seat

Or install Laredo seats. Very comfortable and passenger seat folds flat for long items.

Worst seats I've seen were in my Crossfire, had to take a sawzall to the rear bulkhead to get enough...

Re: Recommended Oil and Filter for 3.6

I just go to the dealer. 2 years for $60. Since I have a lifetime warrenty is good to have in the computer & get any flashes/recalls done at the same time.

Re: If you were to give up your GC today, what would you get?

Well since other functions are already filled, I'd look for something with at least a 7,000 lb tow capacity, good aerodynamics & styling, and a turbo-diesel.

Re: BREAKING NEWS: Jeep joins Google's Open Automotive Alliance

What's new? Have had Android & a hotspot in my Heep since 2012 and now combining all of this in a Windows 8.1 tab which can do a lot more.

Re: Radiator issues 2014 V6 Pentastar

Sounds like a bad radiator cap. Hot system is pressurized. Now that mine is broken in it stays in the 197-203F range hot with a/c on. Without a/c the fan does not come on until a sill temp.

Re: Extended crank, hard starting Pentastar

If it doesn't sense the brake, it won't crank at all. This sounds like some GM cars I've known. The FP relay failed and the oil pressure had to build enough to flip the sensor switch. Haven't looked...

Re: Zeigler Extended Warranties

Re: Should my 2012 w/ 23k on it need rotors??

"they showed me that all pads and rotors were within spec" - they were spun on a brake machine or just measured the thickness ? Warped rotor will measure fine in a static test, runout is the key.

Re: Convince me as to why I want a diesel

If a diesel were available on a Laredo, I'd consider it but my '12 V6 has done everything I've asked of it and really do not want a sunroof or an extra 1,000 pounds.

Re: 2012 Jeep GC 3.6L notorious problem

Re: 2011 Pentastar Tick noise :-( at 59k miles

3.5 vs 3.6 aluminum oversquare 4 valve DOHC 60 degree V6 with VVT i&e. Major difference is the Merc has direct injection and the Chrysler doesn't.

Re: 2011 Pentastar Tick noise :-( at 59k miles

I really like the Pentastar engine. It and the Merc M276 have a lot in common & the bulk of problems I've seen seem to stem from faulty machining of the heads.

Of course I have never seen a...
