Re: Here's a new one: water coming in from the B pillar.

It's at the dealership right now, but they said right up front that they've never seen a leak like this before. Wonderful, I always love being the test case.

Aaaand it's back. Lots of water came in yesterday and overnight. The headliner is pretty wet now.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee OFF ROAD (video)

Driving finesse be damned, apparently. Almost high centered? Just wail on the throttle until something grips!

Re: Does anyone with a 4x4 have a whining noise under acceleration?

Just got it back. The holiday last week coupled with some unfortunate timing on my part made things take just slightly longer than anticipated.

According to the work order, they replaced the...

Re: My new 2014 Limited

Yea. You guys get the HID headlights on all of your trim levels as standard. Here they're only standard on the Overland and Summit. They're optional on the Limited models. :(

Re: Had my roof wrapped today.

Dropping the bumper is actually pretty easy to do. Just make sure you pick up a plastic riveting tool from Harbor Freight so you can button everything up again.

Re: Does anyone with a 4x4 have a whining noise under acceleration?

Talked to my SA again- he said they noticed that the a seal on the bell housing had shifted somehow and over time just about ALL of the transmission fluid had leaked out. I park over gravel at home...

Re: Does anyone with a 4x4 have a whining noise under acceleration?

Dropped it off this morning, SA called saying that the noise is definitely coming from the gearbox and they'll swap it out on Monday. I was kinda busy when I got the phone call and didn't have a...

Re: Does anyone with a 4x4 have a whining noise under acceleration?

Having the dealer check it out this Saturday AM. Service adviser thinks it might be a bearing or the idler pulley.

Re: Had my roof wrapped today.

Are you supplying the material or are they? If I didn't buy my own vinyl ($80 on Amazon) it would have been $8.50 per square foot, or about $300 for the job.

Re: '14 GC Overland, Need Roof Rails and Cargo Box ?

I've got the OEM crossbars, and man are they flimsy. Lots of flexing and bending with my kayaks loaded up on top of them. My old BMW crossbars were rock solid.

Re: Does anyone with a 4x4 have a whining noise under acceleration?

Yep, sounds like supercharger whine- which would be fine if I actually had a supercharger installed. Now it just sounds. . . broken.

Does anyone with a 4x4 have a whining noise under acceleration?

I've got 16K on my 2014 V6 4x4 and have started to notice a pretty prominent whining noise that increases with RPMs. Its' really noticeable in 1-3 gear between 3000-5500 RPM.

Re: My new 2014 Limited

Spent the weekend in Boone, NC. Snow, ice, and steep mountain grades couldn't stop the Jeep.

Re: Paint quality

I took a muddy tree branch to the driver's side door without a mark. The paint on the Jeep is WAY more durable than on my old BMW for sure.

Here's a new one: water coming in from the B pillar.

Re: Had my roof wrapped today.

Yep. $1.50 per square foot and they were done in a little over an hour. It's a shop that wraps race cars for a number of race teams here in Daytona, so they do tons of work like this.
