Heat shield over exhaust manifold 5.7L

Discovered today that both of the rear bolts that are supposed to be holding my heat shields on over my exhaust manifolds are broken off. Anyone else have this problem?

I see no easy way to get...

Today the problem flared up once again and my dash showed the ever familiar [P][R][N][D] as...

Re: No start problem

I say directly related because over the last 2 summers I've taken very detailed notes on the details of when this happens to the point where I can accurately predict if it will start or not based on...

Re: No start problem

After doing more research on the issue. Could it be the electronic control module in the shifter bezel? I don't really want to replace a part that doesn't need it though. Is there anyway to test...

Re: No start problem

This is my fear. It seems to be a bit beyond my ability to repair but at the same time I don't want to end up taking it to a dealership and end up getting robbed by them. Know of anyone who could...

No start problem

For whatever reason this problem is directly related to the outside temperature because in the winter time I have no problems at all, but when the temp gets 65 degrees and up I have problems.

What...

Re: Grand Cherokee 5.7L 2005 No Start Issue

Battery is new.

I noticed that the starter had a heat shield on it when I changed it I'm assuming this is because it's right next to the exhaust. I wonder if the heat shield isn't working well...

Grand Cherokee 5.7L 2005 No Start Issue

This seems to be a common problem but I've yet to hear a definitive solution to it.

I have a 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee 5.7l limited and I have intermittent starting issues. It always occurs...
