Re: 2014 SRT Run flat tyres cannot be replaced individually?

You can replace one tire. SRT engineers have stated the max tolerance in tire diameters is 3%. There is no way you can wear a tire out to that extent!

Re: New Jeep Cherokee steering wheel shakes when braking

Warped rotors are actually quite uncommon. What is common is brake pad deposits unevenly distributed on the rotors.

Do this:

Do five or six maximum braking runs for 60-5mph without activating...

Re: 6.2L hellcat short block

Yeah, I'd like to know that, too!

$4500? That doesn't seem too bad, but you can do an all-forged short block stroker from a reputable builder for that.

Re: 07 jeep srt8 Traction Control

Wow, that's scary. How long does it last? Do you have to turn it off and start it again to get going? If you have to do that, then it sounds like limp mode. If not, I dunno. We need to see what...

Re: Lmk what you guys think of a Hankook 275/295 offset

275/40/20 and 315/35/20 are identical diameters. Keep the diameter differential as close to zero as possible, but if you can't, 3% is the max tolerance. Nitto Motivos may be a good choice for you.

Re: Warped discs

Your reported symptoms are right on for this.

Also, you will not necessarily see the build up on the rotors. Your driving route is the perfect storm for causing this problem. Those rotors get...

Re: Warped discs

The rotors are probably not warped. Uneven deposits of brake pad material on the rotors will cause brake pedal pulsation. Do a series of five maximum braking runs from 60mph - 5mph. When you are...

Re: Warped Rotors

Your rotors may not be truly warped. Brake pedal pulsation can be caused by pad deposits on the rotors.

Do the following:

This has worked quite well for me on my other cars. Perform several...

Re: How easy is it to replace upper control arms?

You've got to separate the ball joint stud from the spindle. Whack on the flat spot with a hammer or use a Pitman arm puller. Leave the nut on with a few threads engaged to keep the spindle from...

Re: upgrade rec navigation

The CAN BUS works at different frequencies. There is a high speed and low speed. You want the low speed one. I guess the high speed will not speak the same language.

If you want factory stuff, you can upgrade to an RER MyGig as long as it is the RER is the low-speed bus. You'll need a lockpick as well. The bezel is different so you would have to mod up a piece...

Nice 'bird!

Are you dumping that boat anchor cast-iron manifold? A nice aftermarket one will get you some ponies and save a lot of weight.

Re: Supercharger or build a turbo? JGC SRT8

Agree that turbos will give you more power for any given boost. On top of that, you can get a much greater max hp. Turbo builds are typically $3-5k pricier.
