Re: question about electric brake controller

Mine stays on for a while too, then it shuts off. Hasn't ever been a problem. It does the same thing in my Ram truck, too. Bruce

Re: FYI...CEL on solid @ approx 15k...appt set for 130pm today...

It's a common issue on a cel....first thing to check is your filler cap, and don't overfill your tank. Bruce

Re: intermittent rub / moan upon accelerating from a stop or <5mph

Had a fairly long talk with the service manager today. He and the engineer say the problem is with a clutch in the xfer case. They say that if the transfer case is disconnected electronically from...

Re: 2012 3.6 Transmission Weirdness

It's not the engine, it's the tranny. The mapping is poor, and it has a hard time deciding when to shift, especially since it's coupled to a vague drive by wire throttle. The software updates have...

Re: intermittent rub / moan upon accelerating from a stop or <5mph

Well, finally got the Jeep in to the dealer. Brought in an engineer, and tore down the xfer case. Decided that we need a new one. Supposedly they will get it replaced in the next day or two. Dealer...

Re: Fill me in on the proper Jeep terminology.

No doubt, it's a JEEP. Unique. It's not a truck. I have a Ram with a Cummins...that's a TRUCK!

Re: V-6 or V-8, regrets?

I think the Pentastar is and will be a great engine. It's the tranny that sucks. The V-6 has plenty of power, is smooth and willing. Sounds great under throttle. THe 5 speed tranny just doesn't know...

Re: Clear Bra vs Dr. ColorChip

No, you can see them, especially on the older vehicles that have 3M film. They do take abuse, and will show some pock marks if hit hard enough, but that is very rare. The clear bras are not perfect,...

Re: Clear Bra vs Dr. ColorChip

Really? Replace every three years or so? That's hogwash. I've had clear bra materials on for years (Ram since '05, 330I since '04, and 325xiT since '03, and GC (Nano) since '11) and they work and...

Re: V6 gas mileage

Re: Sand blasted after 1 month of CO winter driving
