Re: What to buy with my 'Customer Appreciation Certificate'?

Haven't posted anything about the issue for a while. Finally got my issue fixed. Last fall, I got with my service guy at the Jeep store and between he and I we have some connections with...

Re: Performance of rear AC ducts in GC

Although I don't live in the SW, here in Maryland we get many days of 90's with high humidity (think sauna). I think the new GC's rear air is more than adequate. I have owned a Durango and an Aspen...

Re: 2014 GCs that have steering shimmy over 60MPH

Good info. So when you say some tire companies do not respect the 24 lbs centrifugal force, the tire company might say that over 24 lbs would still be in spec? Am I understanding this right?

I...

Re: 2014 GCs that have steering shimmy over 60MPH

So, some of you guys school me here. What is the standard measurement that you try to achieve with a road force balancing? I didn't get the previous comment by badass either, unless he was...

Re: 2014 GCs that have steering shimmy over 60MPH

Yes, it stops vibrating above approx 70. From 62 to 68-70 it shakes. Below 60 or above 70 it is smooth. This is what makes me think it is the power steering pump as well.

Re: 2014 GCs that have steering shimmy over 60MPH

Update of sorts for my issue. My dealer's service guy called today. They opened a Star Case and were directed by factory to have me bring unit back in, and they will road force balance (again), then...

Re: 2014 GCs that have steering shimmy over 60MPH

Great to hear. Trust me, at this point a 95% decrease in the vibration would be good enough for me.

I have tried under and over inflating the tires (all the way from 30psi to 50psi )and no change...

Re: 2014 GCs that have steering shimmy over 60MPH

Ok, so call me crazy, but here's what mine has been like. It's a 2014 JC Limited with 20" wheels. The shimmy was not present at any speed up to about 90 mph when I first got it. At about 400 miles,...
