Re: Heat not working on driver side in 03' Limited?

You really have to love a WJ. There's not a single reason to own one based on the maintenance and repair cost of these Jeeps. My '99 liked to lock up brake calipers once a year and there were squeeks...

Re: best place for serpentine belt?

You can also save some agravation by renting the belt tool from Autozone or some other parts place. It's a really tight fit for wrenches and socket sets.

Re: Gauge Says "0 Oil Pressure"

This is actually pretty common. I drove my '99 for two years with this issue and it ran flawlessly. The senders are almost always the problem. 4.7 and 4.0 Oil pumps are fairly durable. A buddy with a...

Re: Blend door longevity

Because I didn't repair them individually, I'll always have a code for the passenger motor side of the bleed doors, but as long as everything is working I won't be checking for codes anyway.
I...

Steering Clunk at a Stop

Was turning the wheel while sitting in traffic. From between the 10 o'clock and two o'clock position I get a clunking noise. It's fine while driving (although the on center feel is pretty sloppy).

Re: Blend door longevity

I did the self test and found those dreaded codes so I went and ordered the repair kit from www.heatertreater.net (http://www.heatertreater.net) , total cost about $200 and it was delivered in just...

Re: Replaced Cabin Filter

The kit's $65 thru Mopar but I'm sure there are better deals out there.

Re: gas mileage? 4.0 what can i do?

By the way, this won't work for 4.0 cars, but 4.7's from 1999 to 2001 can have the trans reflashed by the dealer to upgrade to a 5 speed vs 4 speed overdrive. Cost me $100 and worth every penny....

Re: gas mileage? 4.0 what can i do?

After the 2002 model year the instant MPG feature was removed from the info center function. Don't know the exact reason why. Maybe too many accidents from people looking up instead of forward? Lol.

Re: Replaced Cabin Filter

They are not factory in the WJ but the set up is available thru any dealer and not very expensive. It makes an incredible difference. The normal dust build up in the vents and dashboard is nearly...

Re: Anybody tow a camper with your WJ?

I towed a pop up camper a couple of times with my 99. In the heat of the summer I was glad I had the factory tow package. The factory trans cooler proved it's worth when the temp gauge went to 240...

Re: 2001 WJ Limited 10-Disc CD Changer Help

The radio connectors were changed in 2002, but that just makes installation complicated, not impossible. There may be an adaptor harness available online somewhere.

Re: 4.7 performance mods?

My previous vehicle was a '99 GC with a 4.7 and I didn't go super crazy to get more power. BBK makes a TB that fit like a charm and really increases flow with a K&N set up. A good cat back system is...

Re: Blend door longevity

Has anyone tried this blend door repair and does it work as advertised? All about saving money but cutting up my Jeep makes me nervous.

Re: Tick, Tick, Tick Sound

Hi guys. My first time on this forum but I'm currently on my third WJ so I'm no stranger to repair issues. My 2002 just got delivered thru Ebay two days ago and I'm looking at the no heat/passenger...
