Re: Upper Control Arms from Rocky Road Outfitters

As jjt250 said, JBA has redesigned the control arms and last I heard someone on another forum was testing them. They may already be in production. The JBA seems beefier, I'm happy with mine. I bolted...

Re: CUSTOM UPPER CONTROL ARMS 4 SRT8s

No, you didn't say that at all. I was just stating what I've read as I'm still wondering why the JBA are shorter. As far as different parts for SRT and lifted, I would think the ball joint angle...

Re: CUSTOM UPPER CONTROL ARMS 4 SRT8s

Everything I've read says you need longer control arms for lifted trucks. If you hold your arm out straight to the side, lowering your arm would be the same as lifting your vehicle and the UCA...

Re: Upper Control Arms from Rocky Road Outfitters

Without the spring compressor you can try jacking up or lowering the lower control arm which will compress the spring a little but the best way for more clearance is probably to unbolt the top of the...

Re: CUSTOM UPPER CONTROL ARMS 4 SRT8s

I should have asked for a JBA SRT UCA measurement, my GC is a 2008 Laredo CRD. What I'm trying to find out is whether I have the right part, because the JBA UCAs I have are shorter than OEM and...

Re: Upper Control Arms from Rocky Road Outfitters

I used two wrenches, one for the nut and a small one for the stud of the ball joint which was I think 10mm or 8mm.

Is the socket for the ball joint or the control arm nuts?

Re: CUSTOM UPPER CONTROL ARMS 4 SRT8s

Does anyone have, or can anyone take a measurement of an SRT UCA? Reason being that my JBA UCA causes the Knuckle to hit the strut when the wheel drops making a clunk. Mine isn't an SRT UCA but I'm...

Re: Upper Control Arms from Rocky Road Outfitters

I'm still waiting for JBA to send me an answer, the last email they sent me was on May 4th and it said "I am working on it."

I'll check when I get back home. I think the Liberty arms are wider.

Re: Upper Control Arms from Rocky Road Outfitters

IT seems that it says right on the JBA website that the knuckle will contact the strut at full drop of the wheel. One way to avoid it would be to buy the JBA struts which are narrower. Lets see what...

Re: Upper Control Arms from Rocky Road Outfitters

I just got the JBA UCAs and mine seem shorter than stock. They put the steering knuckle closer to the strut so they hit when the wheel drops....

Re: Finally installing my OME

Nice write up and pics, it looks great. Any other parts rubbing or hitting anything besides the drivers rear upper control arm hitting the fuel tank skid and binding the spring?

Re: 9/8/10 Jeep engineers chat

Have the UCA balljoints been beefed up for 2011?

Do you think the air susp system will make it harder for...

Just wondering what it would look like backwards, you know for the flow. A Charger SRT8 scoop backwards might look sweet too.

Re: WK/SRT8 Fender flares-who's interested?

It's pretty easy to make a mold, most of the work is in the prep. Even though they want the flares, they still need a WK to put them on because the flares have to be in place or held in place so they...

Re: WK/SRT8 Fender flares-who's interested?

What kind of tweaking? So they'd have to make two sets of molds, one for the originals and another for the modified ones, that's expensive. Are the originals Fiberglass?

Any pics of these on a stock WK? Just wondering how they'll fit without the side skirts or SRT8 bumpers.
