Simple solution to this whole confusion would be putting a park button on top of the shifter. Easy, press park and you're done.

Queens here, I live on a hill that's too narrow for a garbage truck plow to get here, we have to wait for pick up truck plow which usually gets here just before snow and 2 days after when it's too...

Not sure if you had a car with start/stop but it's horrible to hear the engine start after each stop. I tried it for a week and after concluding that it does more bad than good I disabled the feature...

Not to get into calculations but the fact that you put that many miles a year financing it makes more sense than leasing, look for a 0%-2% finance rate for 60 months and dump the car after 3-4 years.

Just two oil changes so far I am only at 20k miles, oh and free wiper blades :) All maintenance items are included up to 4 years or 50k miles.

At least there is an option for extended warranty beyond the factory period for these cars. MB, BMW, Porsche, RR offer extended warranty or CPO's when purchased used, some last for 7 years/100k miles...
