Re: Paint Rock Chip Damage is Extreme

I have had my 12 Laredo for a year now and have been on plenty of gravel roads with it and no damage. It could very well be the wider tires causing the problem considering I have the smallest tires...

Mine will expire at the end of the month, been getting the letters from them since late November. Got the call the other day and the lady I was talking to would not budge on price. Told her we only...

Re: Service Interval Question

I just got a new Ford F-150 and my owners manual says oil change every 10K miles! It also takes 7.7 quarts of oil as well so that helps extend it. I change the Jeeps oil every 6 months because I...

Re: If you want it done right, do it yourself(rant)

I think there are a few good mechanics out there but not many. Most do not take pride in their work and put in their 8 hours to get their paycheck and leave. It has gotten so bad that my company...

Re: Pushing 7K Overland Report

Is that 26 mpg on the computer or hand calculated? If your getting 26mpg's out of the V8 on the highway you must be driving well below the speed limit on super flat ground or have a one of a kind...

I do not know where you found this myth, but some factors may contribute to how you came up with this hypothesis....

Still don't know what you mean by "spring tension". Brakes are hydraulic disc, not rotors.

Re: 10,000 miles on my 2012!

Re: 10,000 miles on my 2012!

Looks like we got the same style JGC at the same time! Got 8K on ours and like you just an oil change. Besides the weird sound/vibration at 55mph it has been great.

Re: Pentastar vibration at 2000 rpm/60 mph

This noise is a V6 problem and I don't think it has anything to do with the wheel bearings but a driveline/motor issue. I have gotten used to it after 7K miles but still do not like it.

Re: EVIC MPG estimate - How accurate is it?

This has been covered a bunch and the EVIC is usually 1 to 3 mpg's off. This is common on most vehicles with mpg averages. My motorcycle is usually 2 mpgs off as well and I fill it up to the same...

If you bought the Jeep with 28K and it has 34k on it wouldn't it still be under warranty for another 4 years or 66K miles?

Re: Anyone else think the hemi is underpowered?

The Aussie version may be different but I don't think the US version QD2 has a locker/limited slip on the front axle, just the elctronic braking on the slipping wheel.

Re: Anyone else think the hemi is underpowered?

I'm not saying the JGC can't handle most what is thrown at it. My chevy truck with front and back winch can also tackle most of the same things but I don't consider it a real hardcore 4wd either.

Re: Anyone else think the hemi is underpowered?

I love my JGC but I do not consider it to be a "serious 4wd". A serious 4wd would be the wrangler or anything that sits up higher, has a frame body (unibody in the JGC's), and good lockers in the...

Is that rust on the motor mount? Kind of strange to be rust if it is inside the vehicle.
