Capless fuel filler and dust

Here is a photo of my FREE Jeep supplied fuel dust cap. Also, the dust that still got in after a run up the Tanami Road, Bungle Bungles, and, part of the Gibb River Road. At least the towel stopped it...

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

I took mine off today looking for the temp sensor, but could not find any loose plugs. Looks like yours fell out of a panel somewhere judging by the trim plug, and it sure could be a temp sensor (I...

Re: External temperature sensor

Thanks. Story about the model - it's a 2014 wk2. I have now seen a diagram show it's behind the grill, but so far I can't find it. I'll check the TSB's too.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

Auscop, I found a diagram of where the external temp sensor is supposed to be -best I can tell is it is in the centre slightly below the grill. Exactly where ARB would have been working and cutting...

Re: Off Road 18"s

I bought a set from the first link (wheel_man) too. He was very helpful in shipping them quickly, and would have sold me only 2 if I wanted. In the end I bought 4 anyway because by the time you...

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

We're in Alice Springs at the start of a Kimberley trip. Dropped in on Auscop - many thanks to him and his family for the hospitality. We compared a few things, and discussed our Jeeps of course. I...

External temperature sensor

My outside temperature is reading 10- 15 degrees C too low, which is playing havoc with the climate control. Can anyone tell me where the sensor is and if it can be physically accessed? Thought I'd...

Re: Off Road 18"s

Do you have the 275/65/18 on the steel spare, or another Laredo wheel? With my BFG 265/65/18's (which although nominally smaller seem to be the same width as yours - certainly the tread width is the...

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

The mesh would look better, although it's set so far back it's hard to see. Then again, you could put it forward in line with the radar sensor bracket, and make a "feature" of it.
I started out...

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

I posted a photo on this thread at post 11133. It's not a good photo because they are set back, but if you zoom right in you can just see the grill. I like to think of it as a temporary fix because...

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

I tapped into the supply to the rear power connector for a trigger voltage - it is a VERY thin wire. Maybe 3mm.

Re: ARB Bullbar Delayed

Keep your eyes open for a Deep Cherry Red Overland with colour coded ARB bar, around the end of the month, and I will show you in the flesh what to look for.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

Re: ARB Bullbar Delayed

Thanks Wade. Looks like it was an effective solution. I found out that the Alice Springs store is a corporate store, but in reality, I guess tyres larger than the oem's are not really their problem....

Re: ARB Bullbar Delayed

Thanks Wade, Steve. It is almost certainly the very square edges of the BFGs which is the problem. If there were more rounded I'm sure they'd miss. It's a bit annoying because I specifically asked...

Thanks Wadeus,
I've just had the ARB bar fitted, and am pleased with it. The radar works fine. Some false alarms from the parking sensors as if they are pointed down a bit too far.
Main issue is...

Thanks guys. I'm taking it to the dealers today so I'll point them in that direction. Can't see anything obviously wrong with it myself.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

Thanks Barboots. Looks like the bonnet switch is part of the catch mechanism, although I can't see how it actually works. No amount of jiggling the bonnet (or kicking the car!) sets it off. I'm...

Alarm going off for no apparent reason

I have 2014 JGC Overland, built May 2013.
A couple of weeks ago, the alarm triggered for no apparent reason. It was a fair way away, so the alarm had reset by the time I got there. But since then,...

2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

The BFGs are 265/65/18 (vs 265/60/18 original). Spare on the steel wheel just fits in the wheel well - the square edge not the width is the limiting factor. Laredo wheel does not fit because of the...

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

Thanks Rocksfly.
Not a lot of extras. BFG A/T tyres replace the Khumos, plus an extra Laredo wheel with TPM and BFG, plus a BFG on the Steel spare also with a TPM sensor.
Engel Eclipse fridge;...

You're right actually. I took a closer look, and a rock could get through to the radiator. It's not much different to that on my landcruiser, although the gap is somewhat bigger. Guess I've been...

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

I don't have a drawer, but I looked at Engel and Waeco's around the 40 - 50 litre mark. None of the Waeco's or the metal Engels would allow the lid to open far enough. They all open "longways" to a...
