Re: Jeep service costs

I went (or at least my wife) to Melville DVG and was really disappointed by their service. Firstly there is the stupid cost of $530 - but it seems they all charge that. Then they didn't know...

Re: Japanese Jeep? (unfolding mirrors)

I have this issue (knock on wood, the only trouble i have had so far after 6mths and pretty minor at that) and as others say it is random. I have to put the mirrors in to park in the garage. Most...

Re: Grand Cherokee + sand = FAIL

Is this still an issue on MY13? May get on the sand this weekend and want to know if i'm at risk?

If I am, the recommendation if you get the error is to put it into 4wd low and you can drive in...

Re: Jeep weekend?

Picked up our car on Wednesday and took it down to Margaret river. Car was fantastic (although it didn't get off-road). Averaged 8.6lt/100kms, which included it giving it a bit every so often just...

Re: WK2 DownUnder

One other thing - the tyres are now a Michelin Latitude tyre - given the poor reviews on the Kuhmos, I am hoping these are an improvement.

Re: WK2 DownUnder

Just got our new CRD laredo last night. Loving it - only problem is the drive into work this morning was too short - don't say that too often.
The specs:
MY13 CRD laredo. Mineral Grey....

Re: Comprehensive Car Insurance for WK2

I am soon to get my car and just went through this exercise yesterday. I am living in Perth and for an agreed value of $58k (optioned Laredo) - AAMI was the cheapest at $786.89 (inc windscreen and...

Re: Opinions needed - thinking of cancelling order

Hi,
I have become a contributing memeber and I can track it in regards to it's progress, but how to I get the build sheet to see that it has all the bits I ordered?

Re: Grand Cherokee + sand = FAIL

I would like to see some more positive reviews on this issue, as a bit of sand driving will be in order for me. Seems odd that my old 4x4 (hilux surf) can go with no troubles and this new more...

Re: Suggestions for a 4 week trip out of Sydney

I've pretty much done the drive Allypally suggested before (in three weeks - but with a few 1,000km+ driving days, which out there isn't too bad as there isn't much else to do between some locations)...

Re: Gibb River Rd

The photo with the boab and the mountains in the background is first class!
Great to hear about the car going so well, on a road that can shake a car to bits and test it out.

Re: 10,000km Service CRD

I think that most people will read an ad which says "regular log book servicing" and give the car a mental tick. A few more diligent people will actually look at your log book and see that it was...

I also think people are not reading his post fully - it isn't just $40-50 a fortnight more, it is that for three years and then the full lease payments more for two more years - this is a financial...

Re: Repost: Aussie Members I need advice

Sounds to me like you got a very poor price on the Laredo or an amazing price (under $70k) on the Overland.
I went the laredo path. Could afford the overland, but didn't see the value in the...

I have ordered my car in WA (moving there), but live in NSW. You will find that clause is actually a standard form clause for purchasing any car (at least in NSW and WA). Most people just don't...

Re: No tow hooks? Front Recovery Soluition help

I agree with BobT - I was a bit worried about it, but when you think of the length of the rope you will be using attached most likely to the centre of someone's car, the offset would be 0.5m over a...

Re: How do you stop door open chime when in ACC?

I doubt it is an oversighte - they have them to remind you not to leave your key in the car, so the passenger door being open isn't going to reflect that risk.

Re: Downunder - Orders to Delivery thread

Is it right that when you order a diesel Jeep at the moment, you won't be given an expected delivery date - seems unusual. What would you put on the contract then for delivery date?

Re: How do you stop door open chime when in ACC?

I had this in an old toyota - it was one of the first mods I did - it involved opening the dash and cutting a wire. I imagine the solution here will be similar, but as scarps pointed out, it may be...

Hi all,

I am about to purchase a Jeep and was wondering what people think of the Off-road Adventure II package and what they paid for it.

Thanks

Re: How reliable are the WK2 GC?

Agree with the drive of this car. All other cars seem to compromise between on-road performance and off-road performance or looks and finish. The Jeep doesn't seem to have any of those compromises...
