Re: Quadra-Lift Reliability

Well, I got the call from the dealer finally. They have found the leak. It's a valve within the front lines that leaks with extreme cold weather. That seems logical since one year ago, January, I had...

Re: Quadra-Lift Reliability

Very true. I've had to use it in some underground parking lots.

Re: Quadr-Lift Reliability

I use the park mode daily for easy entry/exit. That's about it. I rarely use the higher levels.

Re: Quadr-Lift Reliability

There is a poll around here that shows the vast majority of QL owners do not encounter a single problem.
That said, my '11 Overland is currently in the shop for a QL failure (#2). Exactly one year...

Re: Thule (or other manufacturer) hitch rack questions

I have that rack which I've used for years and the platform racks are the best type of bike racks IMHO. With the Thule, I left it on all summer because I used it 3-5/week. It is heavy, 58 lbs, and...

Re: Cool Useful Ideas for 2" hitch?

I ordered a hitch just for my bike rack (Kuat) and I also have an aluminum carrier that I've used to carry excess gear. Other than that, it's there just in case. I've never towed anything.

Re: Cold Weather Diesel Operation WK2

At -50, any engine might struggle and that is why we have block heaters. My jeep is parked outside always and below -10 C I generally plug it in. It not only helps with engine turnover/oil flow, but...

Re: New color for 2013 Grand Cherokee SRT8!!

I'm the opposite and very Canadian. Within the family we have 5 white cars and one red (Porsche). I love white except in sport cars.

Re: Floor Liners - Opinions Please

Here are my Husky liners in beige. Note how much coverage they provide and the surface texture is more grippy than the Weathertech liners that I have in my Audi.
The variation is color is due to...

Re: WK2 front license plate

I ordered and installed the front license plate kit today. Mine is 1 year old so no bracket came with it but after seeing the 2012's with form fitting brackets, I had to have one.
The bracket is...

Re: Daytime running lights..

I just tested it. Fogs can be turned on manually with park lights or full headlights only. But, with park lights on + fogs, as soon as Drive is engaged, the DRL activate. The only time DRLs are off...

Re: Synthetic vs. Conventional Oil, which to use 5.7L

The only tangible advantage I've noticed over the years with Synthetic is a smoother start in the winter, especially below -10 C. My Jeeps are parked outside and although the block heater (standard...

Re: White Overland pics.

This Jeep was bought off the lot and I was happy that it had the 730N. At that time too, early Overlands didn't have Quadra-Lift so I was very pleased that I found this Jeep with every option I had...

Re: My 2011 Silver Overland with Saddle/Black interior and Hemi

Not really....they can't take the heat and will wear fast.
He might be planning to remount the Forteras for the summer on the OEM wheels but that's not so great for the tire bead to be remounted...

My Huskyliners....photos added

I just installed my tan Huskyliners and I'm so impressed with how they fit. The custom fit is far superior compared to my Weathertech FloorLiners in my Audi. Unfortunately, they don't make them for...
