Re: 5.7L American Racing Headers!

Nick, there has been some talk recently about passing emissions with long tubes since the cat is moved from the OEM position. I know earlier you stated you had not gotten any CEL lights. Since...

Re: Powder Coat or Paint OEM Black Chrome Spider Monkeys

There are a ton of different powder coat finishes and colors. I would bet there is a place near you that does it. If you talk to the people doing it they can usually show you samples of the...

Re: Powder Coat or Paint OEM Black Chrome Spider Monkeys

Remember that powder coat is generally super durable. I powder coated some brake drums once and beat the holy hell out of them with a hammer and it never chipped.

Re: How common are the broken manifold bolts?

Thanks. I really appreciate your help and knowledge on this. My plate is pretty full for my vacation this year (only home a few weeks a year). I am going to address the headers situation first and...

Re: How common are the broken manifold bolts?

I am going to assume the chain is ok and plan on replacing it if I do the cam. Without the heads, this is looking to be the best bang for the buck. I have been in talks with Inertiamotorsports...

Re: How common are the broken manifold bolts?

I was just curious how they stayed out of the way while you were putting in the new cam.

Changing the springs seem easy. I am not sure about setting the rockers arms though. Have not seen...

Re: How common are the broken manifold bolts?

I would like to retain the low end and that is mostly what I want. My Jeep is lifted with larger tires, not a 1/4 mile street Jeep.

What cam would you recommend?

That doesn't sound too bad. I have never done any work on heads though. How hard is it to install the springs and rods? I know nothing about setting the advance on the cam either. Not sure what a...

Re: How common are the broken manifold bolts?

The headers from ARH are made for the 5.7, not the 6.1. They bolt up to the factory or aftermarket cat back exhaust. No trimming the tranny or anything as I understand it.

I am pretty sure I...

Re: 2017 refresh

I think I like the 14+ front end more. In that 75th facia, they made the grill part of the bumper and squashed the 7 slot grill openings. I think it looks bland and cheaper.

Those wheels should be the standard wheel for the SRT. I think they are better looking than the Spider Monkey wheels.
