Re: Got hit and run today! WTF!

Long load laws vary from state to state. In Connecticut, you must have a red flag with an area of at least 12 square inches if the load extends more than four feet beyond the back of your...

Re: Can you get a 2014 Overland w/o wood steering wheel

I would have preferred an all leather wheel on my 2012 Overland. I find the wood to be slippery.

Re: 2014 Hemi EPA MPG

That's funny, one of the things I like about my 2012 Hemi is that it doesn't downshift very often and rarely goes over 2,000 RPM, even with the five/six speed transmission.

Re: Goodbye FX35, Hello Overland

My wife had a 2005 FX35, before we traded it in for a 2012 M37x. I have a 2012 JGC Overland 4x4 Hemi ORAII. I completely agree with DjinnBabba:

I drive into Manhattan fairly often, and everyone in...

Re: 2014 Hemi EPA MPG

Since the new transmission doesn't really improve the mileage with the Hemi, does it improve the performance (e.g., acceleration)?

Re: MDS Functionality

I don't "feel/hear the cylinders drop out". Really. I do try to drive in such a way that the ECO light stays on as much as possible, though, so I drive with a light foot.

I agree. I read in another thread that the skid plates weigh only about 100 pounds:

Re: Chicago Autoshow. Pictures and impressions inside!

I used to think that the grill was hideous, too, but Acura has been toning it down and I guess I'm getting used to it.

Re: Chicago Autoshow. Pictures and impressions inside!

Re: Chicago Autoshow. Pictures and impressions inside!

I'm on here because I own a Jeep. :D And isn't the WK2 a crossover, anyway?

One of the main reasons I bought my Jeep is that I tow a boat and drive over some pretty poor roads. I broke...

Re: Chicago Autoshow. Pictures and impressions inside!

The overall effect of the changes make the Grand Cherokee look more generic. They also make it look skinnier and taller. I prefer SUVs with a lower, wider stance. After these changes, the Acura MDX...

Re: Can you believe these guys

I had never heard of an automotive clockspring before. Perhaps defective clocksprings could explain why some WK2s have shut off while turning.

Re: MPG V8 - 2nd update

The EVIC obviously calculates fuel economy using a moving average, not a cumulative average. What is the length of the interval that it uses (e.g., the last 1,000 miles)?

Re: Humming/vibration/weird sound

You're kidding, right? I had one go bad at about 12,500 miles. Sometimes, you get a bad one. It happens. Both front wheel bearings were replaced under warranty. It wasn't a big deal.

Re: Humming/vibration/weird sound

Well, keep an ear out for a bad wheel bearing. If you swerve back and forth in a parking lot or on a deserted road, the sound from a failing bearing might come and go.
