Service 4wd will sometimes show up when the speed sensor cables on your wheel bearings is bumped or touched, even from potholes. I'd check those cables first

I hadn't checked it in a few weeks but I must have gotten to it just in time as the reservoir was near empty. I didn't notice any increase in temps but in the 2 years I've had the thing I hadn't done...

It was burning up the coolant constantly, flushed it when I changed the oil. Probably a combination of both

Mine are rusted to hell too, when I changed my hubs I just banged the rust off, straightened them out and popped 'em back on

I had Chrysler check the transfer case and I'm told there's play in the rear drive shaft and that the u-joints are binding. $1100 for the parts alone, thankfully I'm still under warranty.

Thanks, I'll have the transfer case looked at and report back for future readers.

Turns out the front differential is fine... I guess I'll chalk it up to money well spent on absolutely knowing...

I'm getting the same issues. Vibration at 65mph but feels more like the passenger side, sort of a growling/grinding noise from the front end.

I recently had the rear diff rebuilt...

Update:

So the dashlight that's a car with squiggly lines under it is the Traction Control light.

The front wheel bearing hub assemblies have an ABS/Speed Sensor cable harness that connects...
