Re: WK2 to JK

Re: WK2 to JK

No, pentastar. That was the puzzling thing. I was hoping for a bit better gas mileage, but like a lot of buyers I only looked at the published MPG data and thought, "Well that looks OK". I bought...

Re: WK2 to JK

Yea it is. I don't know why, but when I was looking at JK's this color just popped out at me. I like the black on tan contrast a lot. I don't see too many others around in this color (maybe...

Re: WK2 to JK

That would have been incredible!! The WK2 was so smooth, drove like a dream. I don't know why mine got such atrocious gas mileage and parking it in Seattle was a nightmare.... that and I have...

Re: WK2 to JK

Here you go. Been waiting a while for that Trail Rated badge!

I couldn't believe they had a Sport, in the color I wanted, with a hard top, and the accessories I wanted. Rubicon would have been...

WK2 to JK

Hey all,

I bought a WK2 several months ago and had really liked it. I was really troubled by the piss-poor gas mileage (13.5mpg) and not being able to fit it anywhere! I got a letter about a...

Re: V6 WK2 Towing question

No, no tow package. I'd need to get a hitch installed, I know that there is more to the tow package than that.

Thanks for the feedback.

V6 WK2 Towing question

Hello all,

We are moving cross country from Seattle to Nashville in June. I am trying to decide whether to pony up the money for freight shipping my stuff vs. movers vs. a 6x12' UHaul to tow. ...

So the RRO leveling kit is on. I am not buying 18"s. I feel like I have clearance to fit a bit more all around. What does everyone feel.

Re: Two banks fighting to get my loan.

You definitely get an advantage when multiple lenders are bidding. I settled on a price then went to the "finance guy". I had an offer from USAA at 3.6%, they offered me 2.9%. When we got onto...

Re: New RRO leveling kit, Done the right way!!!

Haha, yea it was a bit strange. I think they were stumped for almost a whole day before figuring out that the holes were misaligned. I called them every 4 hours or so and they would say, "It's still...

Re: New RRO leveling kit, Done the right way!!!

Thanks! After two days of driving, no noticable change in drive quality.

I didn't have the tools or space needed to try a DIY. The shop had quite a bit of trouble doing the install, per them the...

Re: New RRO leveling kit, Done the right way!!!

Finally got the leveling kit installed. It was pretty tough finding a place in Seattle to do it. Well worth it though. Crappy cell phone pics, left is pre-kit and right is post-kit. Sits perfectly...

Re: New RRO leveling kit, Done the right way!!!

Thanks! Thats a good idea calling RRO, may try that. There are a few places in the Seattle suburbs that may do it as well.

My main concern is my warranty, but my understanding is that if it is...

Re: New RRO leveling kit, Done the right way!!!

Hello all, leveling kit works great!! I am considering one but have a couple of questions. I'm sure they are answered somewhere in the forum, but thought I'd give this thread a try.
1. Where to get...

Re: Riddle Me This!

Probably meaningless, but just bought the wife a Sub Forester and I drive a WK2 so I did a search of Forester offroading.

This fun video came up from England of "stock" Subarus offroading.......

Re: Love the new WK2

No bubble bursting at all. I've learned that when it comes to snow in seattle (being from texas), its really only about what I'm comfortable driving. I feel you that a lot of 2wd's get through snow...

Re: 2011 WK2 "software updates"
