Mine 2011 is heading in for A/C diagnosics Tuesday AM. Had it recharged 3 weeks ago. It worked on the first leg of my trek in 95 degree weather. Then cycled mostly between hot and less cool air on...

Re: Grand Cherokee Recall - Brake Booster

Stopped by the local dealer today and got on their waiting list. No parts available yet, no part number assigned to the shield either. It seems to be a moisture/cold temperture situation.

Re: Brembo Pads

Most likely the pad is sticking in the caliper. If so, pads need to be removed or replaced and spend some quaility time cleaning up the calipers so the pads will move freely after lubing.

Heavy duty pads are usually comprised of Carbon Metallic. Very dirty dusting.

Re: brake dust/stained mags

Brake dust build up is the result of the friction makeup. If they're OE pads when was the last time the tires were rotated? The OE pads should be ceramic which minimize the appearance of brake dust.

Re: Windshield washer fluid

Check for breakage, the connecting hose between the nozzles is a tick too short and puts stress on the nozzle nipples.

50,000 miles sounds like a good time to check the e-brakes and lube the adjusters as well as clean up things for the next time they're used. Otherwise, the e-brakes will freeze tight when used and...

Re: Wiper Sizes - READ THIS BEFORE ORDERING...

The 2011 uses a 22" on the drivers side and 21" on the passenger side. I'm a long time ANCO user and their Contours work perfect on the windshield. Their AR12A work perfectly on the rear glass.

Interesting point as new tires should have more tread (different outside diameter) than the old tires. It's not only a 4wd thing, but an ABS sensor reading as well.

Re: fuel additives

Coking deposits accumulate on the intake valves no matter what fuel is used. It's a good idea to use Techron or a product that cleans the valves and fuel delivery system.

Re: Is the back up camera worth upgrading to the Limited trim.

It's worth the money. Still can't believe Jeep doesn't include it on the Laredo. There as some of us that just want a basic WK2 with a couple of options like Off Road 2.

No back up camera option for the Laredo? I have one on the MY11 and love it. Hardly use the mirrors these days, especially lining up with the trailer.
