Re: Rocky Road Outfitters WK2 Leveling Kit

Installation wasn't bad at all. Total time for me and my buddy took about 2.5 hours, start to finish. And we weren't in any hurry. Of course we had the proper tools and work space, too, though. ...

Re: Rocky Road Outfitters WK2 Leveling Kit

I noticed the other night that on the driver's side front, the black trim near the rear of the front bumper was pulled out a bit. When Discount initially fitted my wheels & tires before I installed...

Re: Rocky Road Outfitters WK2 Leveling Kit

I'd imagine when stuffing the front wheels, I'll probably get some contact up front, but I doubt I'll ever get this rig into such a precarious position as to cause that. I have a JK for real...

Re: Rocky Road Outfitters WK2 Leveling Kit

I don't notice any more wind noise than normal. And to me, with the new wheels and tires, ride has actually improved. I don't even notice any tie noise at this point, but I expect that to change...

Re: Rocky Road Outfitters WK2 Leveling Kit

I honestly don't think it made any difference in the rear at all. The wheels & tires fit in the rear before I put the lift on. Only rubbed in the front (driver's side to be specific) by just a hair...

Re: Rocky Road Outfitters WK2 Leveling Kit

Just did mine a week ago to fit 20x9 ET18 wheels wrapped in 275/55R20 Terra Grapplers. I'm on my tablet so pics are a little difficult to post, but the front sits very close to even with the rear,...

Re: The official Wheel thread

I'm in the same camp as pinetar. Never been a fan of the Rockstar wheels. Around these parts, every lifted Ford/Chevy/Dodge/Toyota truck has these wheels and Road Armor bumpers. They don't belong...

Re: The Official Lifted WK Thread

No need to change shocks & struts for that lift at all. Spacers basically go on top of the shocks/struts. Actually, it looks like the rears would go on the bottom of the shocks, but I could be...

Re: The official Wheel thread

Exactly. Just spacers installed on top of the front struts to bring the front level with the rear. I think technically it puts the front 1/8"-1/4" higher than the rear, but I didn't really notice a...

Re: I Think I Fixed My Rough Shifting 8sp Transmission

I've actually had that happen with my JK a couple times. I was trail riding with some buddies and stopped going down a slight hill. Put it in park and then went to get out and the JK kept going. ...

Re: The Official Lifted WK Thread

Look up Rocky Road Outfitters. They should have what you're looking for. Judd installed their 1.75" leveling kit on my MY14 WK2 and couldn't be happier.

Re: The official Wheel thread

Thanks! Totally changes the look of the WK2 IMO. Now for a Overland grill and maybe some OEM HID headlights.....much later down the road. Other stuff to pay for at the moment.

Re: Low offset wheels 2014 WK2 Laredo

Reviving your thread a bit.

Re: 20k miles on my '14 Overland

Different tires between the 18's and 20's. Michelin latitude Tours vs. Goodyear Forteras.

I'm upgrading to 275/55R20 Nitto Terra Grapplers. More tread, and a better rubber compound. have the...

Re: 20k miles on my '14 Overland

Nope, no alignment issues. Latitude Tours, too. Run at recommended pressures listed on the driver front door jamb at that. Discount will put a new set on for me for about $500 (half price), but I'd...

Re: Overland Seats Uncomfortable

I guess I do have one complaint now that I think about it, but it's mainly because of the interior color I chose.

On the Frost Beige seats, the pigment from my jeans fades onto the seats on a...

Mine's that way, too. Of course my other vehicle is a 2011 JK Unlimited Rubicon and obviously those seats aren't even close to the ones in the WK2. They have seat heaters, but they're not exactly...

August 2013 - Evaporator core replaced...

Re: D'Amore Engineering SEMA Jeep 33s on 20s

First pic I've seen of a WK2 with a 20x9 ET18 wheel on it. Looks tits for sure! Tried that size with 275/55-20s on my limited and it didn't work out without a lift. So the leveling kit will go on...

Re: 20" Wheel Question

Eventually I'll probably have to go up to the full 2.5" kit, but for the type off-roading I'd likely be doing in the WK2, which wouldn't be any more than some back country exploration if I can ever...

Re: 20" Wheel Question

For off-roading it would be tight. Yeah, the aggressive offset was probably the biggest reason it didn't work out. But damn, it looked good! The tires sat just outside the wheel wells, giving the...

Damn, they're proud of that kit aren't they? That's not much less expensive than the Rock Krawler lift on my JK. Wonder why so expensive for just springs and dampers?
