What drew my attention toward the rev limiter (b4 even having a programmer) was how the motor was rev'ing when merging onto express ways. I noticed, on more than one occasion, that when I had to get...

The 3.7 makes it's peak power higher up in the rpm range (5200) and smaller motors can usually handle higher rpm's better. With the 4.7 making peak power @ 4500 rpm's, I don't see the need to go much...

Does no one at least know where the factory limiter is set? I know that these motors make their peak power btwn 4800-5000 rpm's so by knowing the stock rev limit I can try to manipulate it in the...

Hypertech rev limiter adjustment

Just wondering if people have any guidelines to a safe range of adjustability? I have a flex fuel 4.7, CIA, 255/65/17 tires and cat-back. Does anyone know what the factory rev limiter is set at? What...

Muffler inlet/outlet size

I'm getting ready to order a Flowmaster Delta 50 series muffler for my 07 XK and was wondering which inlet/outlet diameter people were using? I'm pretty sure stock is 2.5" so should I go 2.5" in/3"...

265/65/17 fit with front boost?

I have an 07 Commander with the rocky road outfitters front boost plates. I was originally going to just step up to 255/65/17, but now I'm wondering if 265/65/17 will fit without rubbing issues?...

I have an 07 XK. Has a CAI and a Hypertech Max Energy programmer. Getting ready to do exhaust and wondered if high flow cats are worth the hassle? I've heard that they may cause a CEL? Just curious...

I've already got the intake and tuner. Probably going to put a flowmaster 50 series muffler on, but what about the cats? Should I even bother with trying to make aftermarket high flow cats work or...

Front coil isolators

Well it's time to replace the worn out OE struts/shocks with some Monroe Reflex ones. My question, is where is everyone getting their front coil isolators from and does anyone make poly ones that...

sway bar end links and rear sway bar bushings

Has anyone here found any TPR bushings for the front sway bar end links or for any of the rear sway bar bushings on an XK? I would like to replace all the bushings, but really don't care to use OEM...

Re: h/o output cams in 4.7L flex fuel motor?

Tuning beyond a power programmer? I really wish I could've gotten into the 2008 xk. They got over 300hp out of that 4.7, but it's a whole different setup so I can't really just "bolt on" any of those...

h/o output cams in 4.7L flex fuel motor?

I know that the h/o cams are a great upgrade to the regular 4.7L motor, but would the fact that my motor was built for flex fuel cause any issue? Second, if they will work fine does anyone have any...

Re: TPR sway bar bushings

I got mine from NAPA, they were $23 for the pair. All you have to do is remove the metal bracket holding the bushings in place, pry the old ones off, install the new bushings (with some silicone...

For any watching or who may stumble upon this thread...I contacted moog (who makes their own TPR bushings as well as the ones for NAPA) and they recommended using spark plug boot (silicone) grease...

TPR sway bar bushings

Just got into an 07 XK and it's got the dreaded front end "clunk" that appears to be fairly common on these models. I'm going to start with the sway bar bushings since that seemed to be the most...

Re: Replacement shocks

Ya, I like that the reflexes boast improvement over stock while it seems the kyb are just marketed as an oe shock...anyone else have experience with both?

The gr2's are an oe replacement shock. The agx series is the adjustable ones. I do/did like the reflexes on the blazer I had, plus the lifetime warranty means never paying for another shock for the...

I realized they were the same after posting that lol. Would you recommend the KYB over the Monroe reflex?

Which bilsteins raise the jeep? I do not want that, if anything I'd like to lower it someday. I do like the combo of softer springs with stiffer shocks. Soft springs allow more give when going over...

I probably should've mentioned that I live near Detroit, MI...so "stiff" or "harsh" shocks don't sound appealing when I think about driving around on the warzone-like city streets around here. We...
