I have a silver jeep, and I plasti-dipped the roof flat black. I think it looks great, but am toying with the idea of real paint in gloss black.

Bolts for thermostat

Anyone know what size bolts attach the thermostat? I believe they are 13mm heads, but I'm not sure the exact length. This is on the 5.7 wk

Jeep is back... Mechanic greased something... and replaced the rear shocks. Still having problems. Probably taking it in to the dealer this week.

Its hard to say. The RPMs are definitely affected, but there is a clunk coming from the back at the same time. I agree that it sounds EGR PCV related, but at the same time the clunk has me thrown off.

The jeep is a 2005 4.7 with QDII

When stopped the RPMs drop and sometimes stalls, also feels like it is bucking at a stopped position.

check your air filter as well. Something similar happened to a buddy of mine with a 4.7, the air filter was garbage and it actually stalled. replaced the filter and it was good to go...

I think the majority here will say Bwoody. Personally, I have the 3.5 bwoody on a 5.7 and have a magnaflow exhaust and i love it.

awesome thanks, i wasn't really thinking ignition since the engine never died out on me. I had the ignition crap out on my old car and everything just died, lights, engine, etc.

Alright, so I am home on leave from the Air Force. My jeep hasn't been driven on a regular basis at all just here and there when my dad felt like running it to keep the battery good and the tires...

I think there is more too it... Scott will chime in I'm sure, I am fairly certain he has done the full conversion. I am also fairly certain the stock wk rims will not clear the calipers.

Have you tried having someone else pull the latch to see if it still releases the hood. This happened on my last car and the spring mechanism was gone but the wire was still intact so it took two...
