Re: Pedals not aligned with seat and steering wheel

I saw your picture on the other Jeep forum and I can see how cramped your feet are. I'm not a big chap but my legs are thick from the gym and I really need more space to separate my feet. Going on...

Re: Post brake booster recall issue

I could not agree more. I hate taking my car in for anything and always have to check behind them that everything is put correctly back in place. If I had a little more time and expertise, I would do...

Re: Pedals not aligned with seat and steering wheel

I have had my Jeep since June 2013 and I am still not used to the pedal position. There is no comparison with my feet comfort when driving my Jeep verses the wife's Sorento. I still like every other...

Re: 2014 JGC Brake Controller DIY

I'm sorry Sir, mine was the Mopar brake controller so it was just one unit about the size of a wallet. It sounds like yours has two pieces with to it. I assumed all brands would be similar to mine as...

Re: DirecLink / 2014 JGC Brake Controller DIY

Hi Sir!

I actually didn't mount mine. I plugged into the wiring adapter which was a little awkward to reach and ran the cable under the floor mat to the center console and just set my unit on...

Re: 2014 Hemi oil/coolant temps

Hi Chaps,

My 2014 Grand Cherokee with 5.7 L runs around 220 F on normal driving but jumps up very quickly in temperature with any acceleration. A few months back, in 75 F weather, I was towing a...

Re: 2014 JGC Brake Controller DIY

I did actually buy the Mopar brake controller and it does work without any software flash. I towed a travel trailer through the NC mountains and it worked just fine with pretty smooth braking after...

Re: Trailer Tow Group IV - fluid coolers

What would be considered a maximum safe engine oil temperature? Mine in my 5.7 V8 2014 Jeep climbed to 260 F when towing a travel trailer up a long hill in the NC mountains. Is this too hot? The on...

Exhaust Heat Shield

I just want to warn other Jeep owners about hitting puddles too fast. We had a lot of rain and I foolishly plowed through several inches of water at high speed. Afterwards, there was a rattle...

Re: 2014 JGC Brake Controller DIY

Hi again!

I can confirm the Mopar trailer brake controller worked flawlessly in my 2014 Grand Cherokee. No ECU software flash necessary.

Unrelated, I did see elevated engine oil temperature...

Re: Towing - High Engine Oil Temps

Hi Chaps,

I was towing a 4000 lb travel trailer with my 2014 Jeep equipped the 5.7 L V8 and I was seeing consistent engine oil temperatures of around 230 F which spiked at 260 F on a long steep...

Re: 2014 JGC Brake Controller DIY

Thanks sir! You're absolutely right. I connected the travel trailer and my brake model recognizes it just fine. Granted, I didn't tow it, will do next but it really appears my dealership does not...

Re: 2014 JGC Brake Controller DIY

Hi Sir,

I bought the Mopar trailer brake module for my 2014 Overland and the dealer said I will need an ECU flash. Is this true? I have not read anywhere else about that.

Many thanks

~Tom

Re: Pedals not aligned with seat and steering wheel

Funny, I did wonder how they would be in a right hand drive where the pedals would not have to be jammed up close to the transmission tunnel. Having grown up in the UK but lived most of my adult life...

Re: Pedals not aligned with seat and steering wheel

I am not sure it is a dealbreaker either. Vehicle comfort is very much an individual thing and no one car is right for everyone. I did not notice the pedal offset for quite some time and it is...

Re: Pedals not aligned with seat and steering wheel

Thanks, I am pleased I am not the only one. I did some searches but I still do not see a thread for this issue apart from one called right foot fatigue.

I am having the same problem. I'm setting mine off all the time, especially when leaning in to unload groceries etc. I would love to permanently disable the panic feature on the key.
