Re: What is the best mod you've done to your SRT Jeep?

Thanks! I did find someone to sell just the rears from this forum. He had worked through a different custom setup and had them left over.

I tried a few vendors, hoping that since the rears had...

Re: Thermostat rationality

4 good cycles will clear it. Meaning, start the car and let it get to 181 or greater 4 times in a row. It'll go away.

No fuse or battery disconnect will clear it.

Most auto part stores can also...

We have that code with a Jet as well as many other 180s....

Happens on our 2015, happened on our 2012, our 2006 300 and 2005 Magnum.....

Pro tip from a Dyno guy & Volant CAI install

I wouldn't think the filter down in the wheel well would see an increase from heat in the engine compartment, too far removed and heat rises.... But I don't have one of those to test that.

I...

Re: Pro tip from a Dyno guy & Volant CAI install

I should note, that CAI I used has NO heat shield. I am sure those help. And my testing was nothing fancy, just curiosity and a quick check over a couple days during varied temps. Nothing scientific....

Re: Pro tip from a Dyno guy & Volant CAI install

Yes.

On my 2012, I recorded an IAT temp of 8- 12 degrees above ambient, while moving, without removing the small block off plate, and a 4-8 degree variance with it removed.

That was even at a...

Another thing to note.... Many new vehicles, ours included, do not have sensors to detect the increased air flow...

New cars use either a mass airflow sensor (MAF) or a Manifold Absolute Pressure...

Re: Daniel's '15 JGC SRT Build <Pic Heavy>

Best so far has been the installation of The (Rear Only) Eibach Lowering Springs...

My version of a "leveling kit". Its a very subtle mod, sometimes I think I like those the most!
