Re: CRD oil on special

It's a bit of a worry. That Total oil gets a big tick for ACEA C2 but unfortunately the VM Motori requires C3.

Re: 20" Tyre Thread

Glenn,
I sure would like to know more about this swapping the bolts around thing. Can you find out more from your wheel guy? My guess is all Aussie Jeeps are the same as yours (was). I do recall...

Re: Jeep service costs

If the mechanic was offered a carton of beer per blade, I recon he would have done it and not told the boss and you'd be miles ahead. I've often found a carton of beer to a tradie will make him do...

Re: The Towing thread

On a point of pedantry, there is a transmission oil cooler on my 5-speeder but that may be because I ordered it with the off-road pack.

Re: WK2 DownUnder

I bet it was a delight to watch. It totally makes up for all the trauma Jeep Aust. has bestowed on us since 2011. Assuming they got some usable footage, I wonder if Jeep will dare use it now that...

Nasty! Any chance of a pic? Haven't noticed on mine. A good way to check hairline fractures is to rub metho over it. As it evaporates the hairline becomes more evident. Hopefully it's just the...

Didn't know there was one available. Actually FYI, I bent the steering knuckle that attaches to the strut but the strut itself seems OK.

Re: Anyone tuned a CRD yet?

Took the Jeep to Stockton Beach to see what the Bluespark can do. I took on that big dune that the guys that were on the sand driving course know. From memory, at the time we all got up it in one or...

Yep! I also tried it up close but still nothing.

The flipper glass button works fine with the car unlocked and not with the car locked. It is quite independent of the location of the fob. I'm...

Re: WK2 DownUnder

The only one to worry about is the oil pressure light. If that comes on just pull over and stop because the engine is about to slash its wrists. God willing none of us will ever experience that one.

Re: For those who are thinking about Bluespark...

Correct if true but I suspect there is no measuring device. The CPU decides how much fuel to inject and it knows the distance traveled then divides one by the other. Accurate flow measuring devices...

OK now I'm scared. The 2011-13 GC's have the 5-speed Merc NAG1/W5A580 gearbox rated at a torque throughput of 580Nm. The standard engine puts out 177kW of power and 550Nm of torque. With the...
