Re: BC CoilOvers Installed

Did you measure to see how much your rear axle was shifted with the stock bar?
I haven't, and don't intend on buying the bar....just was curious.

I'm tempted to drop it even more.....closer to...

Re: BC CoilOvers Installed

He bottomed out a lot.....and he wasn't even as low as my Eibachs were. He wanted a better ride and no bottoming. He does road course racing and bottomed even on straight aways on one track.

As...

Re: HID projectors headlamp retrofit - DIY (picture heavy)

Looks good. You are right that the sealant used doesn't soften with heat.....but it is possible to separate them without cutting (I opened up a WK2 OEM Projector housing just to see how hard it was).

Re: How to open up OEM HID headlight housings to paint the bezels

In the add doesn't it state that they work with halogen bulbs?

A 9006 and a D1S are very different physically.

Re: How to open up OEM HID headlight housings to paint the bezels

The OEM 08+ lights generally are sealed with a sealant that isn't effected by heat and is hard has a rock (hot enough it may soften....I never tried beyond 315* or so). Very different from the...

Re: cmn1's Evil Inferno Projector Headlights!

It does.....we have done colorshift halo Jeep fogs.

That is the easy part. Getting the projector in there may be the tough part. :D

Re: cmn1's Evil Inferno Projector Headlights!

Headlights? Or fogs?

I am doing the fogs for Chad, but depending on how big a PITA it is, it may not be something I offer.

The stock HIDs? Add a projector to the high beam side?

Re: Scottina06-a photographic history of sorts-Laredo---SRT

Yep, that is an option. We did a steel blue set like that. All black but a steel blue amber.

Re: lll2for3lll's Projector Retrofit Project

I generally remove all of it. Or as much of it as you can scrape out and get off the lens. Others may do it differently.

Re: Scottina06-a photographic history of sorts-Laredo---SRT

That amber is actually more of a medium or medium-dark. But with the blackness of the light as a whole....it will look black unless it's in the sunlight.

And High temp paint on the high beam...

Re: Modern Blue Painted moldings and tinted tails

His Jeep is generally very dirty.......unless there is a car show or GTG. Those are the only times I see it clean, LOL.

It is a blast to drive or ride in, from what I remember :)

Re: Modern Blue Painted moldings and tinted tails

Hired Gun Paintwerks did the work.

I recall being quoted $1100 or so by them to do the work to a stock hood. Custom one off hoods aren't cheap and are labor intensive.

Not sure on the amount...

Re: Automotive Touchup paint on quad projector headlight housing

We have painted over 10 pair of OEM lights and never had an issue. So OEM lights definitely aren't the issue.
Although the ones I posted were OEM too....

This is what you don't want to happen. No idea what caused it as I don't know what was used or in what manner it was applied. This is how it got sent to me.

Flat black front strip.

The silver Jeep next to his in my pics belongs to Hops23. Same vents, same shop custom fabbed their hoods. Badass hood.

Re: Modern Blue Painted moldings and tinted tails

You would have to put "Jeep" in that small rectangle for the light to shine through. Unless you mod the bezel and use a different light source.

Re: Turning radius fail

The SRT turns like a semi?? LOL

I suppose it's all relative.....I generally drive 20-21' trucks so in comparison the SRT is great. My Reg Cab Tacoma will turn much nicer though.

Re: cmn1's Evil Inferno Projector Headlights!

No.

It is covered in tint and then we masked off a SRT logo and then covered the rest in paint.

You can kind of see in this pic that the marker light on the side is shining through a "SRT"...

Re: lll2for3lll's Projector Retrofit Project

What he said on the amber:

It will look unfinished if you leave it off. There will be a hole there and the tabs showing where the amber should have snapped on to.

Re: lll2for3lll's Projector Retrofit Project

Yep, the OEM headlights are vented.

The amber reflector pops right off of the chrome (carefully so you don't break the tabs that hold it on). There is a rectangular hole in the chrome for that...

Re: cmn1's Evil Inferno Projector Headlights!

I didn't have anything to try putting less than 6V to them, nor the need or want to.

Chad was good with just the switch. Can't run the red LEDs on the street anyways.

Re: cmn1's Evil Inferno Projector Headlights!

You don't need a 392.....yet. You definitely need the fogs NOW. LMFAO.

Something like a multifunction controller may work....but the demon eyes have modules on them so that they don't...
