Re: New ARB Compressor Install WK2

Mine is still holding up fine. Like I said, I added another blot to secure the metal plate to the fuse box. Seems to keep it from moving around.

I'm actually putting in one of those catch cans...

Re: New ARB Compressor Install WK2

Where'd you get those switches? Much smaller/lower profile than the big ARB toggle (which is what i used). I put the toggle in about the same place as yours, as well as some other switches

Re: New ARB Compressor Install WK2

The outlet connector won't get hot. Chemistry's PV = nRT says that expanding air actually gets colder, not hotter. I've seen other builds where they put a an connector in the interior plastic as...

Re: New ARB Compressor Install WK2

Not necessarily. Run the switch to the dash, and run an air line to somewhere accessible. I can't find it, but I saw a build with a WJ that stuck the compressor in the spare tire wheel, and ran an...

Re: New ARB Compressor Install WK2

For what it's worth, before finding this, I was considering hiding the compressor in the back near the spare. Either in the corners of the "dish" it sits in, or possibly under the dish. It comes...

Re: New ARB Compressor Install WK2

Here's what the V8 engine looks like. We mounted the ARB on the plate in front of the power distribution center on the passenger side

Re: New ARB Compressor Install WK2

I did this a while ago, but never posted pics. I attached pics. Worked out pretty well.

It helps to take the mounting legs off of the blue wrapper and mount that first. You also want to...

Re: Factory Service Manual Available?

So how useful is it? I mainly need the shop manuals for the wiring diagrams, but I do find it occasionally useful for other repair stuff. Trying to figure out if it's worth the $135+ship.

Re: New ARB Compressor Install WK2

Wow, nice install. I was literally planning on pulling the WK2 apart this weekend to mount my ARB and various other stuff. I test fit it in your spot tonight and should work well. Thanks for the...
