Re: Rear diff seal

The seal really isn't that big of a deal. Most people mark the nut/threads (mark how far down on the threads it is along with the position on the pinion) on the pinion , pull the rear DS, remove the...

Re: rear balljoint

That's cool. I just didn't want you to be replacing the a-arm if it wasn't needed.

Re: rear balljoint

I still don't understand why you are replacing the control arm. All you need to do is swap out the balljoint here http://www.quadratec.com/products/52449_1052.htm and reinstall it. If the two...

If you just mean the balljoint, I pasted a link in my originally reply.

I do believe I did mine on the ground, just make sure you have the ebrake on. If...

Re: ABS Light & Airbag light

Re: ABS Light & Airbag light

hrm, does your horn and cruise control still work? If not, the airbag light could be the famous clockspring issue.

If you land up replacing it check the instructions out here:...

Re: rear balljoint

There's only 1 above the rear diff. I believe they are $60ish from the dealer or $31 here. http://www.quadratec.com/products/52449_1052.htm When I did mine I found it easier to pull the whole a-arm...

Re: vibrations

I would check your rear DS ujoints first for play.. that's free to check right... :-P If there's no play I'd get your tires balanced again. You could take your rear tires and put them in the front...

Re: rear wheel bearing replacment?? help

you're talking about the pinion seal then. There are two approaches people take without rebuilding the diff, both obviously requires you to pull the rear driveshaft.

A. You can mark the nut and...

Re: rear wheel bearing replacment?? help

yea, make sure you put a new seal in too. Also, when taking off the old bearing, it helps to cut almost threw the race with a dremel or cutoff saw then place a chisel in the cut and smack it with a...

Re: Shock Absorbers???

Already have addco swap and stiffer springs. I'm also not saying its due to roll. Its more or less the back end bouncing over the bumps almost skipping through the turn. It started with the first...

Re: Shock Absorbers???

I personally think they are too soft. I just put a set all around on my jeep and well.. I don't like them. If you hit a bump in a turn it doesn't feel like the rear end is following you.

Re: removed the pre cats

So the CEL didn't come back on? I've heard from a few people that once they removed the pre cats they had a CEL.
