Re: Tips on how to ask Chrysler to buy buck the Jeep?

Awesome.

I will say that the case managers at corporate have very little power to get things done, at least from my experience. The final decision is made by the regional managers. The metro NY...

Yep. I don't know why that's so hard for f1anatic to believe. I did the same thing with an Impreza Outback I bought a few years ago. Spent $10K on it, sold it for $10,500 a year later when I wanted...

Re: Tips on how to ask Chrysler to buy buck the Jeep?

I'm in NY. Feel your pain.

YOU DO NOT have to buy another Jeep vehicle. They can buy back and nullify whatever contract you had, you will be "made whole." Unfortunately, you probably need a lawyer...

Re: $50k+ is a lot of money for a new vehicle...

My household always owns my commuter car and leases the family car now. I want one car in the family that is ALWAYS under warranty, and I don't mind "throwing away" that money every month as it's a...

Re: 2015 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

There are a lot of us who are dying for Chrysler to get that diesel in the Wrangler.

Re: 2015 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

Sounds like apart from the 8.4AN, based on what you say you want in a vehicle, you should be looking at a Wrangler Unlimited instead of a GC? The Wrangler you can still get the 6.5" screen. Cloth...

Re: 2014 JGC Overland Issues

Official Lemon Law, yes. But a lawyer who works with ISG might be able to get you out of the car before official Lemon Law status kicks in, depending on circumstances. These are not simple "console...

Re: Help help help!! Anyone pleae help!

@ragoodsp - The one other thing I will say (at least partly in the OP's defense) is that it seems very few areas of the country are blessed with excellent Jeep dealers. :) It sounds like you have an...

Re: Help help help!! Anyone pleae help!

I would imagine Chrysler works the same in every "area" they service, and if that is indeed the case, you should know that the "area managers" basically have all the power. Even above "Jeep Care" or...

Re: 2014 JGC Overland Issues

It's not bitching and complaining. The number of issues that folks are having with brand new GC's is still pretty staggering. You don't expect new vehicles to have to go back to the dealer except for...

That was the same story we heard with the harsh 8-speed in the 2014 Grand Cherokee, and they ended up coming out with a flash for it a couple months later.

Very nice! Congrats! let us know what you decide to do. I think if Chrysler had treated me right, I would have walked into another WK2. As it was, well, we all know the story at this point.

Also note that there are variations in reliability for particular models. Some models did well even when the parent company was rated poorly overall.
