Re: Coolant low?

My coolant was low every time the water pump was bad. Now on my 3rd water pump, never saw any leaks under the car. Just regular oil change and they would drop the news about the water pump. I have a...

Re: New dealer software update, lower rev limit?

Also have the '12 5.7. 5500 rpm seems to be it. Sometimes a little less or a tick more for whatever reason. Doesn't really matter if it is in sport or manual shifting.

Re: Any one else have issues with their water pump?

2012 5.7 and on my 3rd pump. First at 18K. Second at 41K. Was told they had a bad bunch with bad bearings. Now at 53K. We will see. They found mine at oil changes. Just keep an eye on your coolant...

Update. I don't post a whole lot but ,WOW, can't believe the one dude tried to make the post "BS" with the Australia thing. I do feel for those guys in Australia BTW if we can't get parts here and it...

Re: No Water Pumps

Both times I just took it in for an oil change and they told me it needed a new pump. The first time I even talked to the mechanic, he said he couldn't believe how bad it looked and he was shocked....

No Water Pumps

Severely frustrated. I took my '12 Hemi for an oil change one week ago, 10-14-13. Dealer had it all day, finally found out at the end of the day it needed another water pump. It has 41k on it. Had a...

Re: 2014 V6 versus 2013 V8

Not apples for apples. The test comparison you reference shows the vehicles in possibly 114 degree heat or up in the mountains. If true, absolutely effects performance times (I hope you don't try to...

Re: 2014 V6 versus 2013 V8

JohnC. You are absolutely on anytime you want to go. I live in the Phoenix area. I am a Jeep fan. The 8 speed appears to be a big improvement. There appears to be a few glitches with rough shifting,...

Re: 2014 V6 versus 2013 V8

A 2012/2013 V8 Hemi will be a tad quicker than even a 8 speed 6 cylinder from a dead stop to all the benchmarks like 0-60, 1/4 mile etc. Too much HP to overcome even with better gearing. What is lost...

Re: Problems before I even laid eyes on my new Jeep

This sounds really stupid but ask them if they checked the fuse. Without going into a lot of detail, my dealer insisted I had a bad TPMS module and fuel door actuator. They plugged in and ran the...

Re: 2014 5.7 Throttle Lag

Is it set to snow mode or something? I'm sure it resets to auto each start up but maybe some program/setting on the '14s? Once in a while my '12 will get switched into snow mode and it totally bogs...

Re: 0-60 times JGC V6 & V8

Maybe the 2010, 390 HP Ram truck doesn't really make the stated 390 HP. Mercedes always tends to under quote their HP IMO. Audi's 2.0 Turbo seems to run better than it should by the numbers. Buick's...

Re: 0-60 times JGC V6 & V8

Until proper instrument testing comes out this is all speculation. Seat of the pants really doesn't mean much. When the LR4 was tested againist the Hemi in 2011 all the testers thought the Jeep felt...

Re: 5 speed vs 6 speed, which is faster/more responsive?

So tow/haul mode will use the "shorter" 2nd gear? Or does it do it automatically when the car is given full throttle from a stop for max acceleration?

The 1st into 2nd shift is a killer for...

Re: Jeep warranty lagging competitors?

Re: 15,000 and broken in now???

I have a different theory. My '12 Hemi is noticably slower in the hot AZ weather much like my past Sequoia. I think it simply runs a lot better in colder weather as most cars do. I think Jeep has...

Interesting on how different the wheels look on your old Jeep at different angles in the pics. Really never seen it stand out like that. Love the folding mirrors on the 2013.

Re: Is Sport mode "worth it"?

I like the Sport mode. The car drives more "normal" as far as throttle response and shift points. Otherwise the Jeep doesn't respond much with throttle tip in and ultimately you push the pedal...

Re: Anyone else think the hemi is underpowered?

tnjeep is right. Gearing absolutely sucks. Too tall of 1st gear, gears are spaced where it doesn't keep the Jeep within it's optimal powerband. Can be slow to kick down randomly, even in sport mode....

38psi all around. Saves the tire edges a little on these heavy vehicles.

Re: Driver side mirror vibration.

Mine does it but it is subtle. Passenger side is fine. Probably just the way it is. I noticed it does it at higher speeds on the highway. Maybe a combo of speed and ECO? I'll have to see.

Try "Bumperplugs.com". I used them on a Lexus I used to own. They worked great and I am particular. Good luck.
