The V1 arrows are as JWS said, invaluable. I have been using a V1 for 12 years without any issues...or tickets. The arrows give you the ability to see where the radar is coming from and make your own...

I have the same feet and fit kit, but 47" bars. That is the minimum length that works. You can longer, just depends on what you plan to hull on top and if you are okay with the extra hang over.

I use those bar pads on my Thule square bars and strap my kayak straight to the bars. Just got back from a trip to Florida (I live in Indiana) and had zero issues.

Yes, I can load it with the air suspension lowered to entry level. And no, wind noise is pretty darn annoying, but to me that is the price I pay to get to the water.

I lower the vehicle to the park position with the air suspension and use Thule's kayak load assist bar. Works great and allows me to load my Jackson Kayak Coosa by myself.
