If I pay 50 grand for a fully loaded vehicle, and the vehicle comes with a 'forward collision warning system', I expect it to pop up a warning at least once out of the multiple times idiots slam on...

FCW seems defective on plenty of WK2's. When is the TSB coming out? Jeep should recognize this and act on it before it becomes a big deal.

One way to diagnose: Test drive 10 JGC under similar...

Update: If FCW is indeed separate from ACC, then I do have a problem. Stop and go traffic is crazy in Houston and I have never had this alert me even if someone dead on slams their breaks on 50mph...

Also, there is no leverage as you speak. Warranty work is coded as warranty work, regardless of which jeep dealer you go to. The quality of service depends on the service lot, not necessarily where...

Warranty work and all maintenance can be performed at any authorized Jeep dealer, regardless of where you purchased the vehicle.

Another note: the flashlight battery is locked in and can't be replaced so make sure you have yours repaired under warranty within the 3 year/36,000 mile manufacturer's warranty.

Thanks. I have ACC completely off and the FCW on with the Far Setting enabled. However, nothing occurs.... I have tried nearly rolling into the back of another car on freeway and street roads...

Just picked up a Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland HEMI 4x4.

Do you have to enable adaptive cruise control in order for the Forward Collision Warning to work?

FCW works well when ACC is on and...
