I have to agree with everyone above, VHT will give a very dull appearance, especially if not cleared.

Try the technique showed in the video I posted above.. He made a slit into a large garbage bag and then positioned it over the rotor and caliper.

I'm getting ready to experiment with plasti dip on my front grill and badges, and was going to pick up a can of glossifier to finish it off with. Let us know how it turns out.

I'll be dropping the car off tmrw night to have the wheels painted in gloss black, and should have it back by Saturday morning.. I can't wait!!

Going to use the plasti-dip w/ glossifier on the front grill and badges to remove all of the chrome





The tires will be removed when painted, but they don't totally remove the entire...

I've thought about powder coating as well, but have heard painted wheels are easier to blend in scratches and such. Plus the process of painting requires less costs and effort of removing the wheels...

That's why I figured.. I do not want a grainy or textured appearance. Might be worth spending the extra money for a cleaner end result.

Did you literally just use a small drill bit and drill right into the rivet?

I need to remove my side skirts and am looking for tips so I do not damage the tabs.

I ended up removing the fog light assemblies completely and had my tint guy cover up the entire lense.. We also used some black tape around the edges to give it a cleaner look and to prevent the film...

Just as a heads up, a very large garage sale will be going on if I do not sell the Jeep by mid-to-late August. Everything will be for sale, with the larger items only available for local pick-up.

I ended up getting a Tiguan and love it.

I also decided to keep the Jeep for now to use mainly during the winter months, and whenever I kind of feel like driving it. :D
