Re: 65rfe help

The web address you sent me compared the 68rfe and the 545rfe trans. That's why I compared the 65 and 68. Also why I wondered if the valve bodies were the same, because they have a shift kit for the...

Re: 65rfe help

Thanks for the address. As long as the 68rfe has the same valve body as the 65rfe, the shift kit will work.

Re: 65rfe help

I'm familiar with how a trans works. Put a few B&m shift kits in turbo 350's, 400's and rebuilt a 4l60e. I'm just hesitant with the lack of info out there on the 65RFE. I like to be well informed...

Re: Suitcase muffler exposed

I've used Diablo on my SS Silverado and on my 06 GTO. Unless they have really changed, they're nothing like Cobb. I'll check out that thread. Thanks

Re: Suitcase muffler exposed

With Cobb you can download software for your laptop and then you can tune with that software. You can create your own tunes. It was the best tuner I have used by far. What's the name of the tuner?

Re: 65rfe help

Thanks, I didn't find that info. Could you post a link or a web address to where you found it? Do you think the line pressure booster will work since it's basically the same as the 545? Good info! I...

Re: Suitcase muffler exposed

I did increase the power, how much I don't know, but I can definitely feel the difference. Decibels do increase with horse power, but just because you increase the decibels, doesn't mean you...

Thanks for the reply. I just want quicker, firmer shifts. I read about the sonnax line pressure booster and a transgo shift kit, but it was all for the 545. I couldn't find anything on the 65, just...

Re: Suitcase muffler exposed

It's pretty quiet until you get on it, and then it get's pretty loud. There's no drone on the highway and very little on the interstate.

Re: Suitcase muffler exposed

Here's a video of a start up. It sounds like crap on a phone, takes all the base out. I was kinda reluctant to put this video up. The jeep is pretty dirty, we have been getting storms every other...

Re: Suitcase muffler exposed

Can't, already welded back up. I can take a video of what it sounds like now if that's what you're looking for.

Re: Suitcase muffler exposed

That's what I was going for. I replaced the resonators with Borla XR1 mufflers and opened the suitcase muffler up, reconfigured the inside, then welded it back up. I wasn't sure how it would end...

65rfe help

What can I do to improve the shifting on a 65rfe transmission? It doesn't seem like there's anything out here unless it's the same as a 545rfe.
