Re: Ski/roof Rack Removal

You're right, it was not that bad. Here's a link showing how to remove the rail end caps. The rails themselves do not have to be loosened/detached. I did learn that spreading the inboard side of...

Re: Ski Rack Removal

Thanks, I tried the lever to no avail. I think plan "B", removing the rear rail mount, may wind up being the solution. Being lazy, I was hoping for a less-fussy task.

Ski Rack Removal

Am trying to figure out how to remove the ski rack cross members. Not the rails that run fore & aft upon which the cross bars are mounted. Cannot find any reference to them in the owner's manual...

Re: Sales Code WGM 17"X7.5" Factory Original

DMAC,

Haunt ebay and craigslist.com and at the same time hope that a sharp-eyed forum member like MOFSTEEL spots one if you don't. The wheel MOFSTEEL referred to in the post above was exactly as...

Re: Sales Code WGM 17"X7.5" Factory Original

MOFSTEEL,

Thanks!

Bought it 5 minutes ago. I looked through e-bay yesterday but did not see it.

Thanks again for finding it.

TPS Connector Housing Part Number?

While replacing the Throttle Position Sensor I managed to break the locking tab or stirrup on the connector housing that secures the plug to the TPS.

It's the ivory colored surround in which the...

Re: Sourcing Original Mopar Parts

Thanks for the offer. It was not a matter of price as much as availability. I got a dealership to look at the inventory around the lower 48 and he found that there were four left in dealers'...

Re: Sourcing Original Mopar Parts

Yeah, one of the dealers I had called did have one but at list price. Given that they were the last dealership in the country to show one on hand, I went ahead and ordered it.

It would not be...

Sourcing Original Mopar Parts

My 2003 Overland needs a driver's-side tail light. The online Mopar site is not much help. I have what I think is a valid part number (55155139AH) but when I "Google" it I get a lot of aftermarket...

Re: Confused About Towing A WJ Behind Motor Home

Thanks to all who responded. I think I'm straight on towing WJ and WK Grand Cherokees. If transfer case "NEUTRAL" can be found, then we're good to go.

I kept getting different responses from...

Re: Confused About Towing A WJ Behind Motor Home

Well, that might work except that the wife still insists on riding in the coach. That leaves no one in the Jeep to make my lunch and fetch my coffee as we tool down the road. Non starter!

Re: Confused About Towing A WJ Behind Motor Home

Thanks, Hacksaw. Does that apply to all QuadraTrac II's? In other words, if it has a QuadraTrac II in a 1999 or later Grand Cherokee, it can be towed four-down?

Best,

WindsorDave

Confused About Towing A WJ Behind Motor Home

I'm confused. Am trying to find a WJ to tow behind the motor home with all four wheels on the ground. A couple of "guides" say, for example, that the 2004 Grand Cherokee is towable with all four...
