Just a thought the Tevis calipers are notorious for warping rotors and that is very evident under hard braking....not so sure that would show up on acceleration though.
It's a good idea to replace...

Yeah I read once that they were afraid it would snap off during air bag deployment so they bolted it from the inside. Pretty sure the drivers side and both passenger side ac vents are locked in...
