Re: Remote Start

Not OP but I have a hoodpin switch installed w/ my aftermarket remote start and thought it was part of the alarm, what is it's function? Didn't know it was a safety thing.

Re: What kind of MPG should I be getting?

Quick seafoam question, went to buy 2 cans at autozone and the guy there strongly suggested that I *not* use it. He claims seafoam is for 'homemade' engines and that if I care about my engine at all...

Re: What kind of MPG should I be getting?

That's what I thought. I'll update once I seafoam, I've been too lazy to put the spark plugs in but that'll happen next week maybe.

Re: What kind of MPG should I be getting?

Definitely going to do a seafoam treatment after I change the plugs. Just remembered hearing something about the air dam being off affecting MPGs, would the dam being off take off that many mpg?

Re: Is this safe? (Stupid electrical question)

Is it alright to leave it shoved in there for another day? It's been fine like that for 2 weeks but I definitely want to fix that tomorrow after school.

Not trying to doubt your knowledge or...

Quick question, I'm starting to doubt my auto shop teacher's advice (HS student here). He told me it's okay to stick the (power) wire for my Daystar switches into the fuse slot and then put the fuse...

Re: What kind of MPG should I be getting?

No I don't drive very hard, I just bought it in February (from a dealer) so I haven't personally taken it in for a complete tune up, not sure what type of spark plugs are in there (how can I tell?),...

What kind of MPG should I be getting?

2006 WK, 3.7L. I live in a suburb and do almost no highway driving and the computer says I'm getting like 10.5-10.8 MPG on average. Should I be doing better or is this just how it is with WKs?

Re: HID troubles.. Worked fine for 2 minutes, now they don't turn on?

Do I need to purchase a relay separately if I buy the Xenondepot Volt kit?

Re: HID troubles.. Worked fine for 2 minutes, now they don't turn on?

Update: Just got done working on it.. Opened the inline fuse from the positive to the relay and it was burned out. Replaced it, turned on lights & burned it out again. Double checked wiring and was...

Re: HID troubles.. Worked fine for 2 minutes, now they don't turn on?

Yeah, there is indeed a capacitor before each ballast. It goes Ballast > Capacitor > Relay.. I do remember reading about the polarity maybe having to be reversed, but if that was the case wouldn't it...

HID troubles.. Worked fine for 2 minutes, now they don't turn on?

Hey everybody, I have the NOTTO SE 9006 low-beam 10k HID kit I got from carid.com and they installed fine, worked for about 2 minutes but then I drove up to the local hardware store for zip ties,...
