I read a Polk response on Facebook somewhere where they said the DXi350 crossover is slightly higher quality. All other specs are exactly the same.

Agree, My HATs sounded terrible when I first used them for about the first 5hrs. Now they're at 30+ hours and sound great (for the price range).

You would still need a midrange in that case. It only has a range to 4000Hz which is less than where a number of tweeters start.

I'd probably just replace the tweeter with a HAT Clarus tweeter if it doesn't come good. I've been told give it 20hrs use and then judge it.
