Re: ORA II advice for purchase

18" vs 20" was my biggest dilemma before signing the papers. My Overland came with 20s but the salesman said if I really wanted 18s then he'd swap them on the spot. 18s and more sidewall and more air...

Re: Real World QL

Let us know what direction you choose. I'll keep track of the DuraTrac's miles. And, I am becoming more aware of the road noise they generate. But still I love those DuraTracs so far.

Re: Does the Grand Cherokee have an electronic locking diff??

I've hit the trails 5x since having the DuraTracs installed, and they've been a little muddy, in addition to being rocky. Man, that ELSD kicks in nicely at the rear on the steep uphills, now that I...

Re: Possible buy-back, or other recourse? What can I reasonably expect from Jeep?

Well thanks, I think. Statements such as you should have done XYZ aren't too helpful -- it's like saying hey, you should go back in time. I could say to you that you should not have accepted yours at...

Re: Possible buy-back, or other recourse? What can I reasonably expect from Jeep?

Jeep called today. I have a new case manager. She said my case has been escalated to the highest group within Jeep and is under consideration for either trade assistance, extended warranty, or a...

Re: Possible buy-back, or other recourse? What can I reasonably expect from Jeep?

Jeep offered either an extended warranty or 8 free oil changes. I replied by saying the problem is systemic and may reoccur. I'm not interested in the warranty because I don't want to keep visiting...

Re: Snow Capability?

Good to know! Thanks!

And hey, we Californians like to have fun in the snow too, you know.

(Well, maybe not ALL of us Californians. Some of us who grew up in Upstate New York do.)

Re: Auto Door Locks?

That's probably the best solution available to us today. But, I agree with what others have said here about how it should chime just once or twice (or maybe 5x) and then stop.

Re: Does the Grand Cherokee have an electronic locking diff??

Well it turns out that I do have QD-2! I just checked the sticker and it's on there, a $795 option.

Yes!

Re: Goodyear Fortera HL 265/50-20: replacing at 25,000 miles

Goodyear called my tire shop and talked directly to them. This was within a few days after they'd installed the tires so the shop remembered that my tread was low and they easily pulled my paperwork....

Re: Possible buy-back, or other recourse? What can I reasonably expect from Jeep?

In all my discussions I have been polite, professional and firm. No need to get angry with the service manager, or the FCA reps. I'm stating my case and being polite, professional and firm.

Re: Possible buy-back, or other recourse? What can I reasonably expect from Jeep?

Thanks for all the good info, you guys.

I knew this beforehand. At 29,000 miles I am getting close to the 36K warranty cap (am nowhere near the 3 year cap).

Jeep is still investigating. I...

Possible buy-back, or other recourse? What can I reasonably expect from Jeep?

I've had some troubles with my beloved rig. Much was documented in this thread about P20EE: http://www.jeepgarage.org/f222/mil-and-p20ee-again-and-again-and-again-83427.html. For a while things got...

Re: Short video of my Brembo diesel with terra grapplers

shoestring, you mention the drilled rotors are for looks, but they will help dissipate heat and brake dust during use. So they are drilled for function, not for the looks.

Re: Does the Grand Cherokee have an electronic locking diff??

Re: Does the Grand Cherokee have an electronic locking diff??

Fair enough, but with all else being equal, QD2 will outperform QT2.

The way I understand it is that with QT2 there is a delay in power transfer to the wheel with grip because the free wheel, the...

Does that sum it up or are there other key differences between QT2 and QD2?

Re: Does the Grand Cherokee have an electronic locking diff??
