When popping it into drive it really did 'jolt' in and was choppy selecting gears after. Selecting reverse and drive you really did have to be at a standstill with the foot on the brake !

Hey - had mine 2 years now and its been a blast! A 1999 unflashed and still 4 speed - like acceleration over MPG right now :)

As for the clunking when I first got mine I noticed it was harsh...

Just put 255/60r17s on the back of the Jeep today - with 235/65r17s on the front

They *just* clear the back dampers - can get my finger between it and the tyre - still doesnt hit so thats fine...

I am interested in this too - i have just picked up a set of 17s for mine with 2 of the 4 tyres good condition.

They currently have the standard 235/65R17 tyres mounted but i did fancy something...

Same issues as mine, think they are always a good place to start - I just replaced both of mine and now its really slick changing gears :)

Had a bit of an issue when I got mine - no overdrive at all!

P0700 on the dash just means that transmission ECU is throwing out a code.

I had an OBD2 scanner and it was telling me 'incorrect...

I had a similar issue - but no heat out of both sides

First to check the operation (you cant really tell by just removing the motor) by getting the jeep to tell you whats wrong ;)

I would be interested on the soldering too - just picked up a 1999 WJ with no heating (blend doors - about to fix those, but only had it 1 day ;) ) noted that the heated seats were not functioning...
