The Yakima rack works pretty well. I have the deflector shield on it, so road noise is not really an issue.

I did a visual inspection in a parking lot about 30 seconds after pulling away from the shop. Everything looked good and no funny sounds or unusual driving characteristics. I will get underneath it...

yes, installed on the ground apparently. The shop owner started telling me about how hard it was to get the sway bar linked back up to the lower control arm and how 'these sway bar links always break...

As for the sunroof rattle, I narrowed it down (at least in my case) after about 26K miles......
1. The rubbery bellows-like material that expands upward when engaging 'Vent" mode is kind of sticky...

As you can see from the 2 pics, it's 2inches of clearance over the sunroof for the front bar, and a little less than 2 over the raised roof area over the back bar

.....a couple more views of the Yakima Rail Grabber system.... Still getting used to the look, but I think this will be a great system once I attach a couple of the FatCats on them. :)

Wow, thanks for the feedback... So do you notice any wind noise from the rack? If you have the sunroof, does it block the view? I'd probably just go for the 2 cross-bars on which to mount the Thule...

I bought this kit for the front end of my LTd. It's nice but it was a bit of a PITA and I did not do as good a job as I wished. I did it by myself and it was exhausting.
