Strong gas smell at idle always. I will change fuel filter and let you know. Spark plugs looks ok. I made oil change and found with a magnet little pieces of metal ,but just a few they look toasted....

Ok. I'm in the truck with the scanner hooked up. LTFTRM is 0.0 and the truck has been idle for 10 minutes. After 10 minutes it started to vary.
O2 sensor #1 is on 0.580, 0.600, 0.540, 0.360, 0.280,...

Yes I wrote right , o2 sensor got stuck in 0.8 in driving conditions. What is the correct fuel pressure in this truck? Should I change fuel filter to make sure is not clogged?

Sorry for late answer, o2 sensor is not fluctuating when truck is hot. do you think that the main problem is a broken cylinder ? Which is making the noise? And burning the o2 sensor?

First thing I want to tell you O2 sensor number 1 is not fluctuating anymore on a 20 minute drive at normal operating temperature. This is the 3rd O2 sensor that I have changed in less than 1 year....

measurements were taken at idle between first 10 minutes from I started the vehicle. I will check now at driving temp. and let you know. oh! and MAP sensor too.

Hi Frank, O2 sensor 1/1 fluctuation from 0.2 to 0.8 is correct and rapidly.
sensor 1/2 steady 0.240. (*small fluctuation)
STFT fluctuation of -2.0 -3.5 -4.0 -5.5 -6.2 -7.1 etc mostly minus.

Well , this O2 sensor it was working intermittently.
and finally dies with out been detected by the computer truck.

Looks like CO2 sensor 1 is not working properly some times.
Who is the one? the sensor sending orders to ECU or ECU sending orders to sensor?
Can the sensor fail for a few minutes and then back to...

OK, I was driving this morning ,truck start failing and check engine light comes on.
I hooked my scanner and showed Code P0171(system Too Lean)
Live Data showed me this at the moment of the truck...

Throttle Linkage is OK ,UP and down trans. there is 2 more cables attached to the throttle body,the one in the middle looks loose {not tightly} I followed this cable and ends behind of the left truck...
