Re: weight distributing hitch for towing?

No need for WDH until 5000 lbs. I tow a 4800 lb boat with no WDH and have no issues.

Re: Battle with Jeep finally settled

Anyone not getting results thru Chrysler customer support, do what I did, and e-mail the CEO. His e-mail is readily available on the internet. I had to do this to get results.

Battle with Jeep finally settled

My 8 month battle with Jeep finally came to an end with very positive results. I had one of the first 2014 Ecodiesels off the line. (Per Chevyboy, who worked in the plant, it was the first off the...

Remote start

The remote start has intermittently not worked on my new 16. Sometime it starts, other times the display says it was deactivated. I finally caught what happens. I remote started, it started for...

Re: Buyback/Replacement

Good luck getting the lawyer to settle in 30-45 days. My guess is when you get a lawyer involved, you would be looking at 4-6 months minimum. I met with an attorney, and was able to get what I...

Re: Buyback/Replacement

Once they move you to the enhanced customer care, you are one step closer to a buyback. The whole process takes 3-4 months. Stay calm, be pleasant, but firm. Let them know what kind of hassle this...

Re: Possible buy-back, or other recourse? What can I reasonably expect from Jeep?

The problems with the diesels have been worked out. It was the very early build 14's that had the issues. I have heard horror stories about all manufacturers, including Lexus, BMW, and Mercedes. ...

Re: Possible buy-back, or other recourse? What can I reasonably expect from Jeep?

Buy backs vary depending on what state you live in. My situation occurred with 35,000 miles at 2- years. I bought in Texas, but registered in Minnesota. I would have had to pay $11,000 usage fee...

Congrats. The new rig comes with Goodyear Wranglers. I'm happy with the ride. My exchange happened about 6 weeks ago, and I am still waiting for Jeep to transfer the warranty to the new Jeep. ...

You use the cellular connection from your smart phone, and it is transmitted via bluetooth. You do not get cellular from your subscription.

Re: Eco mode, huge difference

Re: New '16 shifter - fit in a '14?

Now that I changed from the 2014 to the 2016, I can honestly say I like the shifter in the 2016 a lot better. Never really had too many problems with the 14, but occasionally, would have to shift up...

Re: Anybody know if a '16 shifter will fit a '14?

Just went from the 14 to the 16, and love the new shifter. Old one was finicky. After the learning curve, was easy to use, but still had to fiddle with it almost every time I used it. Happy now.

Re: P20EE on 15 and 16 GC

Have not heard about many problems with the QL. As far as the CAT, there was a redesigned CAT that is used now. The 14's had a different CAT. Nave not heard of issues with the 15 or 16's.

Yes compression braking. Much better in gas and non existent in diesel. Have owned both, and gas is better for going down hills at very low speeds.
