Re: Grand Ltd Vs. KL Trailhawk

Sorry to pipe in late on this Matty.
I've done all the usual Qld beach locations several times in the GC.
Quadra lift is nice, but a 2inch lift on the steel springs would be just as good.
I think...

Re: Rear tow hook OK for snatching?

Even though I've got a tow bar, I've used the rear hook a couple of times (pulling out other vehicles of course). It was easier to just use the hook that's there than trying to remove the hitch. Just...

Re: WK2 Offroad

Spent the week at Fraser Island last week.
As most have been saying high range is all that's needed 99% of time. However, there are some instances where low range is necessary. Some of the really...

Re: Grand Cherokee + sand = FAIL

Hi Dave,

I did have the problem you describe a couple of times with the hemi.
When it happened to me the Jeep was parked on a fairly steep hill. It also blew quite a bit of smoke. I've since...

Here's a link to the official TSB - dated 27 April 2013

I sincerely hope the problems you had on Fraser a little while ago were not because they...

Re: Grand Cherokee + sand = FAIL

Just want to add my 2cents on this one.
I take my GC on the sand at least every 2 or 3 months, Fraser Island, Moreton Island etc. Regarding the 20inch rims I have never needed to go below 20psi yet,...

Re: Air Down For Sand Advice

I take my GC on the beach all the time. We have some really dry soft sand here at times.
I always air down to 20psi (I have 20 inch rims too).
I have found that the jeep performs really well at...

Re: Jeep at the beach

Yeah, I'm on 20 inch rims and aired down to 20psi. There was some really soft deep sand on the inland tracks, but that was no problem for the Jeep. Even snatched a couple of Toyota's out of the bog!

Jeep at the beach

Well, after having my wk2 for a little over a year now and having taken it out on the beach many times I thought I would finally post a few pictures.

Fraser Island, Moreton Island, and Rainbow...

Re: Grand Cherokee + sand = FAIL

Mendo, it is a software update for a bug fix that is caused by a combination of sensor input conditions rather than any hardware fault. I would hate for you to get stuck due to this issue. This is...

Re: Grand Cherokee + sand = FAIL

Nah, I think it applies to Quadra drive also. Quadradrive is just Quadratrac plus rear ELSD. Quote from the TSB:

"This bulletin applies to vehicles equipped with the QUADRA-TRAC II 4WD
System or...

Re: STUCK IN SAND with 4WD malfunction

Another update for all who are as confused as I was about this issue.

I had my GC in the other day to have the module fitted, and had subsequent discussion with Chrysler customer relations....
