Re: Blacking out window chrome in Denver

So I did have Extreme do my chrome blackout. They used a film that roughly matches the wheels - probably the same that they used on yours. It's outstanding. Still has the metallic look but achieves...

Re: Blacking out window chrome in Denver

Yeah I'm just a few minutes north west of you. CR is closer to me than any part of Denver proper.

Re: Blacking out window chrome in Denver

The window trim on a WK2 JGC is most definitely *not* stainless steel.

The window trim is plastic painted with a chrome colored paint of some kind which pits similarly to actual chrome when...

Re: Blacking out window chrome in Denver

I'll embrace the chrome just as soon as the city of Denver embraces something other than mag chloride.

Re: Blacking out window chrome in Denver

I was just at Centennial and they have several SRTs. They may be in a dealing mood. I work a mile from centennial jeep. Live in roxborough.

Re: Blacking out window chrome in Denver

Russell,

First congratulations on your decision to be awesome.

I really like Autonation Broadway and my SRT is my 4th car from that dealer. My situation was unique because I got one that had...

Blacking out window chrome in Denver

Need help from anyone in the Denver area finding a wrapper or painter who can handle blacking out the chrome side window trim on my '15 SRT.

So far, I've tried Lynx Customs and they couldn't wrap...

Re: Both paddle shifters only downshifting???

Was able to duplicate for the transmission tech and he agreed that it is likely the shifter. They are ordering the part and should be installed before the end of the month. Will report back then.

Re: Both paddle shifters only downshifting???

I'm going in today to do a ride along with the transmission guy at the dealer so he can see the issue first hand (they couldn't duplicate). From there the plan is that they will order a new shifter...

Re: Both paddle shifters only downshifting???

I have this issue. Up shift sometimes down shifts. Seems to happen more when not accelerating hard but don't think this is 100% consistent. Dealer claims no fault codes found but I'm going to compel...

Paddle upshift sometimes results in downshift

15 SRT: Sometimes in manual shift mode, triggering the upshift paddle will result in a downshift (yes you read that correctly), even while accelerating. Happens randomly but frequently. Dealer looked...

Re: What did you do to your WK2 SRT today?

Here's my granite crystal '15 - switched out the chrome pieces on the front and back with black parts from moparamerica.com. Debadged the front. Next up is debadging the side and wrapping the chrome...

Re: 2016 to get twin turbos?

Good timing: Ford has announced their power plant for the 2015 Raptor and it'll be a 3.5L v6 twin turbo making 450HP. Read the article for torque theories because those figures have not been revealed...

Re: Hard driver's seat

One thing that was better in my '14 Cherokee were the front seats. Best i've ever driven. Next time you are at the dealership try those because they are awesome, but I doubt they would fit in a GC...

Re: Jeep Cherokee Lemon to a 2015 WK2

Chrysler just did a buy back of my 14 Cherokee in Oct due to transmission issues. As you have learned or will learn, with the buy-back, the deal is significantly better if you trade to another...

Re: Subwoofer too loud - Grand Cherokee 2014 Limited

Agree that it's way too loud. Very boomy as previously described. I have mine down to about -2 or -3 and it's about right for my tastes from most FM sources. You could probably take it to a really...

Re: Consumer Reports Can't Recommend Cherokee, Calls It Half Baked

I agree with the negative comments on CR...they often write inexplicable things like when they repeatedly criticize sports cars for their harsh ride. As if they review vehicles in a total vacuum....

Re: '12 & '13 Owners - Class action suit against Jeep

This is the most hilarious thread I have read in a long time. The only way this could be any better is if this actually sees a courtroom and then becomes a reality tv show. Hopefully someone from...
