Overland Interior Colors & Golf Clubs

Hello... two questions

Is the Frost w/Jeep brown interior (specifically the carpet) similar to the current overland color scheme?

Will a set of golf clubs fit without leaning?

thx,

steve

Re: Diesel People - Enlighten Me? (2014)

Our Golf TDI has some kind of electric heater that pushes "warmer" air to help defrost the windshield and break the interior chill. I can't say that it is very warm-- but it is better than nothing. ...

Re: JGC CRD vs. VW Touareg TDI

Wow, that kind of stomped on the discussion...

I've been accused of being a Eurocar zealot amongst even my German friends; but, a Jeep has WASTA enough all on its own name. It is COMPETING...

Re: Diesel People - Enlighten Me? (2014)

From my personal experience: Driven conservatively you should be able to beat the EPA estimate in any vehicle (Hwy). Driven normally, you will get less than EPA in a Petrol Engine and be at or just...

Re: JGC CRD vs. VW Touareg TDI

Essentially same specs, but the jeep is a little heavier with the true offroad equipment -- only one MPG different though.

I went and looked at the Limited and Laredo X interiors and had the AAFES...

Re: Diesel People - Enlighten Me? (2014)

The CRD is a "performance option without an economy penalty" -- not an economy option. You will achieve break even, but when depends on the miles per year driven, whether you tow, the cost of...

Re: JGC CRD vs. VW Touareg TDI

Price-wise,

The Toureg Sport ($47,495) and Sport w/Nav ($49,510) line up with the JGC Limited and LUX ($45,695)+ for a a little bit of a price advantage to the JGC. Interiors of both at this...

Re: JGC CRD vs. VW Touareg TDI

These two points are ones I'd not really considered. Will the back seats lie flat enough on the '14s to actually sleep there? The X3 is almost long enough but the angle of the seats gets pretty...

Re: JGC CRD vs. VW Touareg TDI

Appreciate the response.

I'm coming from an older X3, the Touareg handles very well and torque is phenomenal. Subjectively, its' engine performed as well as the Hemi 5.7 Overland (2012 model)....

JGC CRD vs. VW Touareg TDI

I'm considering both (CRD & TDI) and wondered what other folks think -- especially those who shopped both before buying.

General thoughts (rambling):

From a price for features standpoint (using...

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee - Ordering Information and Pricing

I've been pondering color choices and flip-flopping between an overland crd and a limited lux crd with tech package. I really like the overland's interior, but the limited (as currently priced)...

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee - Ordering Information and Pricing

:) Hmmm, will have to wait for the rest of the official pricing (invoice), but this just about what I originally expected (not hoped for). Hopefully other discounts/rebates come around.

Weird,...

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee - Ordering Information and Pricing

Wow the CRD drama is getting as bad as the Fiscal Cliff stuff. Will also probably be as disappointing a result and set the stage for more drama down the road.

I'm inherently an optimist...

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

Hello,

I was told today that the JGC Nav (US Model) won't be able to be used in Germany. Can anyone confirm or provide a work-around?

Thanks,

Steve

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

I'm jealous...the Summit will be beyond what I want to pay, but would go for that in a flash if I thought I could get it past the family auditor.

CONGRATS!

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

I think the Summit black exterior with the brown interior would look as classy in-person as in the pics. Black on black always works (unless your Other prefers light colored interiors).

I'd love...

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee - Ordering Information and Pricing

Good answer. Thank You.

Maybe I can find the Max Steel on one of the AAFES lots to take a look at. We (her) tend to like simple silver or black. She also likes light colored interiors...

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee - Ordering Information and Pricing

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee - Ordering Information and Pricing

The MSRP pricing seems to align with the VW Touareg's; however, the pricing changes seem to alter the value equation -- significantly -- and not in jeep's favor. Will have to ponder, and maybe put...

Re: Is the diesel really worth it????

The Hemi is the better equivalent IMO. Pricing isn't out yet for the Diesel, but I would expect the up charge from the Hemi to be fairly nominal. Even if it were a $1500 option, I would make the...

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee - MPG? Let the speculations begin!

Thought I would lay out my thought process:

89 Oct at $2.91 driving 18,000 miles per year at 16.6 MPG requires 1084 gallons costing $3,155.42

Diesel at $3.69 driving 18,000 miles per year at...

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee - MPG? Let the speculations begin!

I'm an American living (stationed) in Germany and have some experience with Diesels (my own Golf TDI and several rental SUVs). I would use the VW Touareg as a benchmark for expectations for the JGC...
