Re: "BlackedOutWK" Build Thread

I spent so much time looking at pix of this Jeep before I bought mine and before I bought my wheels. Thanks for helping me spend a few grand, bro

Maybe some day mine will grow up big and strong...

Re: New Tires

I love the General Grabber AT2 tires, that's what I had last on my WJ, but I was not able to find any anywhere in the size I wanted so that's why I ended up going with the RF10s on both. The AT2s...

Re: Pics from today (12/25/11)

Nice looking ride, bro. Silver is such a good clean look (if you're too lazy to take care of Black, lol)

Re: New Tires

I just put a set of 255/70/16 Dynapro RF10s on my WJ and they fill up the fender wells, but have zero rub so far. I have the same tire in a 255/70/17 on my WK and I love them on both. Great ride on...

Re: Biggest tire

But still, put you on some 255/70/17s and it will make it look way more aggressive!!

Re: DKS-1's Black 2008 WK Laredo

It doesn't rub at all when I hit potholes, speed bumps, etc. If the wheels are not cut all the way to one side or the other it doesn't even come close to rubbing. It's just skimming the pinch weld...

Re: DKS-1's Black 2008 WK Laredo

Thanks

It barely skims the pinch weld at full lock. Not even enough to compress the plastic to the weld. It just brushes against it sometimes if I'm turning hard into a parking space. I doubt...

Re: Question about Zaino...

How do you mean "it has done a good job of preventing swirls/light scratching" 3M performance finish is a synthetic LSP, basically, a sealant. It for sure cannot prevent swirls or scratching in any...

Re: Question about Zaino...

Bottom line. There is nothing that is going to actually "remove" swirls and scratches short of polishing them out with a DA/Rotary/Orbital buffer and polishing compound. Some products work OK to...

Re: Wool wash mitt or Sheepskin wash mitt?

The SM Arnold mitts last forever. I end up throwing them away for safety sake way before they show any signs of wearing out.

Re: Wool wash mitt or Sheepskin wash mitt?

I'll have to try that one out, it's getting about time to get up another order for DI anyway. Got to stock up on some Hydrotech pads and I'm getting low on M105

Re: Any experience with low offset wheels?

Thanks. The only difference I've noticed with handling is that it rides better with the extra cushion of the bigger tires. Other than that it's not any different at all. I say go for it. I don't...

Mine has 4.75" spacing so it's very close to what you're looking at doing.

Re: Dozer or White for 2012 Wrangler Unlimited! HELP!!!

Also, in most cases would have to agree with the matching top, but. . .

I think white looks OK...

I almost bought a Wrangler 4 door, but after driving a couple I decided I'd just get another GC. Now we have 3 in the family.

Re: Where do you guys buy tires?

and over the past couple of years, it's been...

Re: Jeep to revive Grand Wagoneer

The Durango is just a stretched WK2, so why wouldn't the Wagoneer just be a re-badged Durango?? So, it could be a Jeep that turned into a Dodge, that turned into a Jeep, lol

I'm doubting that those will buff out. Looks like they are far past the clear coat.

OP, can you feel the scratches with your fingernail?
