Re: RIPP supercharged 6+ month update/review

Damn, you can start a fight in just about any thread, can't you?

The guys here are strictly talking about power to the wheels and straight line performance against an SRT. Nobody is saying...

Re: Keyless Ignition Dangers

Wait, it's the car manufacturers fault that you don't turn your car off before getting out? Or the electronic shifter's fault you didn't check to make sure the car was in park before getting out? ...

Re: ACC/FCW in rain or snow

Never used it in the snow. Anytime I've driven while it's actually snowing, it doesn't take long for the sensor to get covered up and I get a warning saying ACC is not available.

Re: Seems shifty.

The current electronic shifter has detents as well. Shift slower, you can feel them. It's not rocket surgery.

Re: Fog Lamp Replacement Guide: 2015 Overland (PIC HEAVY)

Just an addition: I just replaced the fog lights on my '14 Summit and didn't have to cut any rivets. I removed one 1/4 turn fastener and one bolt on each side, that held on the lower front lip. ...

Re: Ripp Supercharged 3.6L- 0-60 times

1. You're in the 'engine performance section', where people tend to upgrade the performance of their engine, resulting in higher power and faster vehicles.

2. You're lecturing a guy who has...

Re: New: 2015 Grand Cherokee High Altitude Edition

"I don't even like Altitudes" - Drives one and spent a ton of money modding it

"SRT and other sporty SUVs are dumb" - spent a ton of money on lowering springs, big brakes and big, wide wheels to...

Re: Quadralift lowering/leveling/lifting Links DIY

Check out some of the quadralift adjustment threads in the suspension forum, lots of people have posted pics of lowered or leveled Jeeps. I'll still get some when I can, since I don't think there...

Quadralift lowering/leveling/lifting Links DIY

So I finally ordered the parts to make my own adjustable air links. The Adjustable Air Ride links were just too expensive to stomach, so I figured I'd make my own. I also didn't want to tear apart...

Re: New: 2015 Grand Cherokee High Altitude Edition

Weird, I'm 29. And a dude.

Since I couldn't swing the insane SRT prices, why not get the next best thing, the Summit that has unique body styling from the rest of the WK2 line and has every...

Re: New: 2015 Grand Cherokee High Altitude Edition

$10-12k in mods, yet doesn't have near the luxury features on the HA?

Says the guy who modded his SUV with 22's and summer street tires, sway bars, big brakes, and lowering springs. ...

Re: Flat tire, WTHeck?! I am getting to old.....

You can probably find someone on craigslist selling a set or individual stockers.

I'd just get a plug kit and DIY. If that doesn't hold, then worry about a new tire.

Re: Difference in SRT build quality?

Nope, better quality materials but not fit and finish. Guys in that forum also complain about the same stuff. The fender flares on my Summit don't fit well with edges coming up in spots, same ones...

Re: New: 2015 Grand Cherokee High Altitude Edition

Like was said before, all brands do this. How exactly does this cheapen the SRT model? You guys that can afford a $70k SUV should be the only ones that get black HID headlights and black chrome...

Re: Trade in For HellCat or Mod current SRT to pull 0-60 in 3 Sec

1) Go back to dealer and get maybe $45K for trade-in if you are lucky, then spend at least $80k on a hellcat. If you can even find one and are lucky enough to get it for invoice. And that's IFFFFF...

Re: New: 2015 Grand Cherokee High Altitude Edition

Would have been cool to see this with the air suspension and 'performance-oriented' shocks. I love the QL, but not a fan of the floating feeling due to soft dampers.

Re: Limiting/Eliminating glare from interior trim

I hate chrome on the interior of cars. The jeep has way too much. Also, the giant chrome mirrors can reflect light in your eyes as well.

The only solution I have is wrapping the trim with...

Re: just picked up my 2015 GC SRT

That's kind of odd, the slots in those pictures aren't really even on the braking surface. Nor are they uniform angles.

The SRT site doesn't mention slotted rotors on Jeep brakes, but it does...

Re: 2016 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT? TrackHawk? TrackHawk Hellcat?
