I had the same whistle when under back pressure downhill. Had the dealer blow out the air intake and found a couple of leaves lodged in the intake. The whistle has never returned in 10,000 k.

Despite assurance from my dealer that all updates applicable to my Jeep have been applied, I visited them again armed with info from this forum to get written confirmation...

EXACTLY! The sad fact is the reputation of the vehicle is being trashed because the dealer is ignorant of possible Jeep solution to the problem. If I had suffered a further DPF failure not knowing...

I guess I'm rather sensitive to bad news concerning Jeep at the moment. I have had a dream run with my JGC for 35,000k, and then the DPF issue struck. i'm not confident the problem has been addressed...

You got it in one for the passive entry Steve. Was sort of hoping the DPF issue might be related. Looks as if I join the frustrated DPF mob hoping for a solution. Kind of makes one feel very lucky...

Thank you for your rapid reply SJandL, I checked and found I had rung the wrong number.
At present I am slowly charging the battery with a AGM compatible charger to see if it is the battery itself...

Picked up my 14 on tues, have done around 400k. The gearbox is amazing, silky smooth either up or down. I think it may depend what mode you are in at the time, I haven't worked it out...
